I have been proactive about suggesting solutions.

I made a long post about how we shot three pointers well, but were among the last teams in 3 point attempts.

I also made a long post about how we have the worst three pointers on the team shooting them.

Now, part of that is unavoidable as we need to have AD and LBJ on the floor as much as possible... but still everyone defers to them too much.

Now that Bradley is starting to hit his shots... this solves the problem somewhat.

But either Vogel needs to design plays for players like Daniels and Cook to shoot... or he shouldn't put them on the floor at all.

That's why I wanted someone like IT. He's not afraid in the same way that Bradley is also not afraid to shoot... but historically he's a better shooter

However, if Bradley keeps shooting at his career average the rest of the season, we should be in good shape. I have a feeling had he not busted out of his slump, then maybe we might have made a desperate signing like IT. Hopefully Kuzma does as well.

The other factor is free throw shooting... which I also explained before.

The long wing ship has sailed. Maybe JR would be a good signing because he's proven to hit shots in the playoffs. (yes, I know he's not really long but he's longer than what we have)

Signing atrocious shooters like MKG would have done nothing. We aren't getting outdefended... we are getting out shot.

I think we have what we need to win, in spite of all my complaining... but the path would have been better the other way, especially long term.

We need to redistribute who takes the threes, we need to take more of them, and everyone needs to take a thousand extra reps at the FT line between games.

So why are you grumping now after the trade deadline about not having the "good" additional large defensive wing with some offensive ability, from back when the team was put together rapidly with Plan B after Leonard, when assuredly it would have left other holes? No team has NO weaknesses.

Because we had some good defensive wings or could have drafted one. We could have kept Hart over Kuzma

So sure it's a sore point that flares up every so often.

I already have complimented Rob on his quick on his feet signings post Kawhi... I complimented him for restraint not overpaying for Marcus Morris.

I think he was caught between a rock and a hard place knowing he had to get AD no matter what if he wanted to keep his job.

So far, I'm happy what he's done post AD. This isn't about Rob

If we want a good team then there's already nothing to complain about. This is a good team.
But we aren't Oklahoma City or Memphis who's content to just be in the playoff picture. My complaints are about trying to build a championship dynasty. As things stand we have two good years left and then we go back into possible rebuild mode. I'm not saying this will happen for sure... but it's going to be an uphill battle once LBJ retires or ages.

No one would have kept Hart over Kuzma. Get out of here with that. And he is not a larger wing. Kuzma is at the 3-4.

Last year no one would have... I already agreed with that. So I don't find fault with that... but a visionary might have seen it

This year Hart has done better. Hart is super strong so he can body up longer players like PJ can.

Again, that ship has sailed so we need to shoot more threes... preferably from those who can shoot them better.

i'll take our sgs and not cry about hart being gone. if kuz wasn't here, i have no idea who's playing backup 3/4 here. dudley?

anyway, this is the AD thread, and he's a top-5 nba player that plays for us instead of NO, who's going to miss the playoffs.

We gave crap to Sirron just last week about Dragan Bender, who he wanted as our draft pick and that is from 2016. The souped up “fill in the blank” player term has been in use for years on this site You are hardly singled out.

For the record, I’d like to remind folks my proposal was to trade down for additional picks and get him then.

But I have realize that I clearly have no eye for talent, so I have retired from the game of making fake draft proposals.

I don't have a problem with people giving me crap... I already said that was fine. Doesn't bother me in the slightest.

I'm pointing out that people like being repetitive about stuff they enjoy.

“The lady doth protest too much, methinks”.....

And just to bring this thread back around to the actual topic....I’m super happy that AD plays for us.

As opposed to being repetitive about stuff they don’t like? Yeah, because this board needs repetitive negative energy over positive energy.

....for the record I said Paul George is a souped up Trevor Ariza and I still stand by it.
