I suppose from my point of view, it does t necessarily make us more talented getting rid of Kuz. But it could make us a better team.

Right now Kuz is best at finishing plays without AD. He gets the ball and goes straight into a move and doesn’t pound the rock a ton. Issue is, AD is our main guy.

So can we get something else that makes better sense and isn’t such a redundant skill. Can we get a good 3&D wing potentially? Can we swing a one of Matisse Thybulle trade or Robert Covington or even Harkless from the tenants in a 3 team trade where we send Kuzma to a rebuilding team that wants a young guy could can score in bunches?

Kuz just doesn’t get it does he? Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with dining a celebrity. But after our worst loss of the season to the C Bags? Always felt he was the most immature of all the kids we had eventhough he was the oldest. Only difference is he was savvy enough to kiss up to Lebron and Jeanie Buss while the rest of the kids sulked.

Him and Clarkson were always pretty childish. BI, Jules and especially Hart were much more focused and "adult" looking.

    She's hot though :D

The names that have come up in Kuzma trades are very underwhelming...

    Nemanja Bjelica
    Derrick Rose
    Robert Covington

I'm sorry but no, these guys aren't any better than Kuzma even though they might be a better fit. Bjelica isn't better at anything except shooting 3s.

The Lakers don't have many picks the next 5 years. If we trade away Kuzma for one of these role players, we will be having nightmares in 2-3 years with a scrub lineup and a disgruntled AD who might sign just a 2-3 year extension and see how this team operates past LeBron. I don't want to believe that our FO is completely blind to the future of the franchise.

Some other potentials are TJ Warren and Matisse Thybulle and Bogdanovic. I think Robert Covington is a great role player. Just not sure on his health.

Covington gives you similar offensive efficiency with superior defense. His three ball is also more consistent

It's true that Kuzma could go up a level on offense but he's basically a less efficient scorer than AD with less defensive ability... so fit is important as you can only play him effectively if AD gets injured again.

Also Covington is on a reasonable contract for the next two years... Kuzma will be cheap next year... but probably more expensive after that.

Rose is far superior in terms of fit provided he remains healthy... but I don't get why Detroit would trade him for Kuz unless they think he's marketable as a Michigan product.

Still don’t see a deal that makes sense. Also think a lot of desire to move him is the usual scapegoating that seems to happen every year where the fan base just decides that X player is the problem and must be traded.

Kuz isn’t untouchable by any means, but you don’t trade him just to trade him.

him being the only asset that appears to be moveable is on the front office and moves made over the past several years.

Hoping Rob shows patience even if it means no deal involving him gets done.

Kuz’s picks have been really pretty. Wiki says she’s 5’1” tall, and of Filipino, Irish and Native American descent. It must be tough dating throughout the season on a national stage.

warren basically does the things most people want kuz to do. but i'm not sure why indy would be motivated to move him.

bogdanovic seems like the most realistic swap to me. not sure i love it--particularly given that we'd be left with no backup 3/4 except dudley.

And Bogdanovic is not an upgrade from Kuzma if you compare them side by side statwise as I pointed out earlier. I wouldn't go there.

thought he played a very good game tonight, though box score watchers will poo poo it. some good individual and team d, lots of box outs and tips on the boards, proper extra passes for good shots (only one time when i thought he overpassed out of a good shot).

not sure what's up with his three point shot, but he looks like he doesn't want to take it. in fact, pretty much only kcp looks like he wants to step into threes right now. caruso, bradley, rondo, kuz all look like they'd prefer to like, hide, or something.

He did play well, he was hustling his behind off for offensive boards and such. The cynic in me wants to say it was because Vanessa Hudgens was sitting front row, but I’d sure love to see that type of activity from him more, hustle is always something he can always give, even if his shot isn’t falling.
