Well, bigs aren't supposed to move the way he does. One of his interviews he talked about having a massive growth spurt in high school, when he was mostly playing point guard, which is why he has those skills at his size.

He's getting bumped off because he doesn't have the same base and doesn't play that bang down low style, so he's gonna feel a lot of that physical play. It's the way you should play against his length defensively, but he needs to learn to play a little lower to the floor, where good post and footwork can mitigate him crashing around the paint.

Pau could teach him a thing or two about falling.

Funny you should say it that way for to me 2 reasons. 1. Maybe work with him on balance exercises to keep from falling and .... 2. It's funny but a lot of the time I think he and a lot of these guys do it pretty well often with the pushing off hard with the quads before hitting the floor and creating a dampening sliding motion on the floor instead of hard vertical impact, especially with sweaty bodies. Sure he has crashes where that's not possible as do they all, but these guys do that a lot. But when you're knocked off balance in the air from up high for whatever reason all bets are off. Stu always talks about whenever possible trying to go up off of two feet rather than one as much better balance in the air.

when i was a kid we actually worked on falling in our athletics classes. and that was...a long time ago. i'm still pretty good at it! i took what should have been a nasty spill last summer at my in-laws' house, but i managed to turn it into a roll and minimize the heavy impact.

a few more years, and that will be a hip.

The was an article way back were Roy Hibbert talked about how he learned to fall properly to prevent injuries. I’m sure that’s part of it for AD.

Guys like AD and I with oversized biceps and pecs end up being top heavy, and can be knocked off balance midair more easily than most.

    it's why I don't dunk much anymore.

The Rockets are not playing well lately; .500 ball in the last 10 games and have some locker room issues, so... who knows.

OK, so we don’t really need AD. Sign and trade maybe? Perhaps we could get a package of Ingram, Ball and a pick for him? Lonzo solves our secondary playmaker problem too...
