I'm sick and tired of this bum.

I'm glad the Lakers realize though - looking for specifically a backup PG when we have 4 PG's says that they do not believe in Rondo.

I hope to GOD we trade his a**.

How can we trade him when no one wants him?

Rondo should just donate his ankles to Avery Bradley and ride off into the sunset...never to be heard from again

It's so bad, because Rondo takes great care of his body and is in tip-top shape. But he simply lost way too much speed and his reflexes are not what they used to be either.

Waived, he needs to be waived. That or used to match salaries in a trade, he’s an expiring minimum, some team might see him as a valuable locker room guy, maybe, hopefully. But I like the waived option, of course we’d have to find a replacement first, he has to be here now in case of injury.

He needs to be part of a trade where he's a candidate to get bought out by the team receiving him and then he's free to sign with another contender

What I can see happening is Lakers trade Rondo in a bigger package -he gets bought out, and then if we sign Collison, the Clippers will settle on Rondo.

...and he'll go playoff rondo on us...

honestly, we're stuck with him. and unless we sign or trade for an obvious upgrade, we're stuck with him actually playing. sad part is that when he wasn't available, none of the other guards stepped up and demonstrated that they could do any better managing the game. i was hoping caruso or bradley or even cook would show that they could play 12-15 credible minutes as a pg, but they're all sgs. we'll have to address that sooner or later.

I still think Caruso could if given minutes there but he hasn’t been so far. When Rondo was out he was brought in at SG with often Cook at the point. Not like his handles are too poor to take care of the ball with the smart way he plays. More time doing it would let him get better at it. Not a “lot” of TOS or having the ball stripped. Conservative and solid fundamental passer. In Rondo’s roll with a longer leash the team would be better and he would of get better at it. Add Collison. Boom, done.

^the problem with Caruso is that he isn't a PG, at least not a good one. He is more of an off-guard but he can't really make plays for others and his passing is just meh.

Solid fundamental passer means he can't pass.

Being able to be a playmaker is more than passing though. You have to have "gravity", demand and handle the ball, put pressure on defenses, take it inside and kick out, complete a lot of "risky" passes like lobs, bounce passes, entry passes and you have to be able to score.

Caruso is pretty harmless on offense and his usage rate indicates he isn't interested to be the focal point of the offense during his playing minutes.

Almost all good PGs in the NBA are aggressive players who make plays, but are also interested in getting 20 ppg...how many great PGs has the league seen in the past 20 years, who average 8 ppg?

Jason Kidd? anyone else? I can name you many many PGs who averaged 20 ppg.

That's all true. My point more is AC playing the point with the tools he has, which would most likely get better with playing time, would be better than Rondo doing it or any of our other guards who have tried it. We wouldn't be losing leads as much with Caruso playing back up point.

Played pretty well tonight. The usual turnover problem (5) but when you get 10 assists and a 30 point win it's forgiven.

I agree that Rondo is a waste of time. I think that is not debatable at this point.

There is nothing he gets better at but plenty of things he gets worse at over time. He is one of the main reasons we have blown so many big leads.

It's the Knicks. I would be more worried than ever if he couldn't at least get the above mentioned.

He played with more pace - the Lakers were initiating action with more time on the 24 second clock...

Good game, too. I hope this gets him going...

He still turns the ball over at momentum-killing moments. And his turnovers are usually him trying to make some one in a hundred pass that even in his prime he has no business trying as often as he does. You try one of those a game, not four a game.

Can we change the title of this thread to Rajon Ron"Doh" Thread?

Well Lebron was doing that at the start of the season... and suddenly like a switch he stopped making those sloppy or risky passes. One game he had 16 assists and one turnover. Unfortunately last night he was back to his old tricks.

I'm hoping Rondo follows LBJ's lead and tightens up his careless passing... because it isn't a lack of skill or vision that makes him turn the ball over... it's the same arrogance that LBJ sometimes has knowing he's one of the best passers in history.

Difference is that LBJ makes up for his mistakes in other categories.

Rondo has one job and he needs to be good at it. Doesn't matter if you make one or two spectacular passes if you throw the ball away the next possession.
