HA! I just got my first iPhone a couple months ago, the big 11 Pro and haven’t even checked Siri out yet. But I think I read somewhere they changed her awful voice. Do you like the new Siri?
I actually only use it to dictate texts or respond to emails for the most part. I'm on a 10X I think and my old iphone 6s had it locked down on accuracy pretty good. I find this less useful trying to message from the road (safely of course) because I have to go back and edit too much. Obviously some things are slipping through the cracks lol.
didn't get a chance to comment on this: i agree. i don't want to use cousins in a trade or cut him for a waiver pick up. he showed after his achilles injury that he could play jokic type ball. his two subsequent injuries are things people come back from at full strength. so, we keep him on another year, and we've got his early bird rights and have developed a good relationship/trust base in the event he might return to post-achilles GS form. at which point, he'd be an incredible bargain. he's not even that old.
He will help against the bulky statues like Brook/Robin, Boban, Zubac that some of our strongest competitors have.
I don’t come back this season if I’m him. Coming back last postseason is why he’s where he’s at now, for his career he needs to take his time and do what’s best for him, not for us
i mean, i'm not the team doctor or demarcus cousins, but...i'm not sure what the upside in coming back would be. he'd be way out of game shape, at risk for another injury, and heading into a summer where teams don't have a lot of cash. he should accept the lakers' benevolence and sit.
Lakers need to do themselves and Cousins a favor and rest him for the entire season. Let him get one more final go at it next season and see if he can bounce back. You will undoubtedly ruin what is left of his career by inserting him too early and forcing him to be the same Cousins he was years ago. The injuries don't happen out of anywhere. The fact is, Cousins is overweight and he can't jump over an ant. I'd like to see us re-sign Cousins for a vet minimum, get him to slim down to 255, and focus on playing stretch 5 and 4 for the Lakers. Alongside AD, he can play stretch 5 and then alongside Dwight and Javale, he can play stretch 4. It's entirely possible that he can do that because he rotated alongside AD guarding centers and PF during the Pelicans. Also, Cousins averages last season PER 36 were: 23/12/5/2/2. He can still play basketball at a high level. The issue will now be his health. Let the man heal up properly and for the vet minimum, we don't have to worry about our frontcourt of LeBron, AD, Cousins, Javale, and Dwight for next season...
I agree that it's probably most prudent for him to rehab the whole year. But I'm also not averse to him coming back for us if he is cleared by his doctors and feels healthy enough to do it. Even with rust, Boogie is a monstrous talent and could help contribute in the playoffs. Up to him and his recovery, IMO.
I agree it should be dependent on the doctors. If two or more reputable orthopedists, sport medicine doctors clear him then why shouldn't he play. Unless the plan is to keep him from playing so his value stays low. That would be really cynical if someone was doing that.
Be crazy not to take advantage of (2) 5 minute bursts a game if it's safe. He's a beast in the post, can hit the 3, sets huge solid picks, has a nice scowl.
in spirit, i'm with sentient and lakerjones, but i still think sometimes you have to protect people from themselves if you care about them. it's fine line, to be sure, with the other side being overbearing and infantilizing, but i'd be strongly against him stepping foot on an nba court prior to october 2020. and i'd be fully supporting all efforts to have him doing so in a lakers uniform.
If he's destroy foo's in practice, I consider it. But overall I tend to agree with you. But with him giving the effort he has, having remained around the team, been a team player, provided input even to Lebron, the cons might not outweigh the pros if he proves fit. Besides, we have the best training staff in the NBA.
