Watched Melo in the NBL. He got a triple double (his 2nd in a row). Seems to exude that Ball quality of being able to do anything on the court but not being able to put it together to win when called for. His team was down 19, his coach yelled at the team and they brought it down to a two point deficit. The opposition made some clutch threes and it was all over. Mello was picked clean after trying to many crossover dribbles near the end and a steal and a layup resulted. Is he talented yes. He played against RJ Hampton. Hampton is less flashy, but has a good athleticism and goes after the basket ball yielding better results in the two games I have seen them go head to head. Ball is the outlet passes, the deep threes you have come to expect. He gets nice body position going in for layups. Never a dull moment watching the Balls.

watched ball play a full game against dallas last night.

he still can't shoot, nor can he break anyone down off the dribble. so hard to work with that unless you already have some big stars on offense. still love his hoop iq and team defense, but he's basically early career shane battier but as a pg. valuable, but only if you have a ton of firepower already.

pair that with his health issues, and...yeah, good luck, NO. i'll take caruso at 1/3 the cost and none of the headaches.

Can't say I disagree with Perk. I thought this was going to be a revenge year for Zo after being traded by us, in particular I thought his shooting would improve, but he's been pretty much the same player as he was in his first two seasons. Hell, he's actually regressed in other areas like his defense.

He was part of that greatest of all time C bag team that only won champion BUT would have won two if he was healthy for game 7. He has the resume.

Big thing about Lonzo this year is that he hasn't shown much improvement and viability in the half court game. He still can't run an offense in the half court and doesn't really know how to do a P&R.

If you guys wanted to see in stat form, just look at these:

Make that 50% from the FT line now:
