That extra pass he's been making has been great. A lot of open looks whether for that corner 3 or a lob up to the big guys. I think it was LFR that brought up the fact he's a good passer, he just shouldn't be creating off the dribble. More off cuts/handoffs.
With the game on the line KCP stepping to the free throw line like he's Steve Nash or Steph Curry but ending up like Dwight's free throws.
I knew KCP was going to miss. I feel a lot more comfortable if AD gets the ball during those situations.
I love this version of KCP. Yes he missed some crucial FTs, but he played another great game in general and helped us stay in it with some timely shots. As much as I hated him on the Lakers most of last year and in the beginning of this one, he's been really great and I would even argue outperforming his paycheck for quite some time now. I am super comfortable with him taking the three and cutting to the basket. His D has also been more than solid. I am starting to think he may keep up this level of play for the season.
KCPs best passing is the layups he throws up knowing they have no chance but the big will be there for a put back..... Any other type of passing yikes. Shooting and defense. Don’t make him create.
What a turaround. I am actually enjoying him playing... looking forward to it, even. Credit to KCP and Vogel.
KCP has become my third favorite player to watch on this team after LeBron and AD. He hustles for every play and the best part about him that he has proven thus far is that he heard all of the criticism and has become a huge proponent to the Lakers being the team they are now. I don't think people realize that KCP is only 26! This guy looks like he's in his early 30's so they expect him not to make any mistakes but man, what a joy to know we can rely on KCP to now be able to knock down threes and defend key players on the opposing team. Now... if only Danny Green can finally step up. We need this guy to be making at least 2-3 threes EVERY game!
He used to be the fastest guy on the roster last couple years with all the kids around, it was reported one time. Probably still up there unless Bradley could get him in a full court sprint with his acceleration.
KCP has been REALLY good as a starter - maybe we should put Green with the bench so that he gets more looks?
A tradition unlike any other. My goodness. But, yes aside from that he's been good for us outside those first handful of games.
He got small at the end of the game. They should’ve had AB in instead. He knows how to move without the ball to create bailout opportunities. Rondo needed that option on the last play.
He needs to return to the starting lineup and AB needs to sit. Last 10 games: 28.4 mins, 11.6 pts, 51.2%, 42% 3pt
I don’t really want to trade him (I’m shocked I actually wrote that) but is there anyone we could get for KCP that would help us more, like a PG? I know he has a no trade clause but for the sake of argument, let’s say he agrees. We don’t have a lot of assets right now and he has worked himself into that category this year, especially at his salary.
