You know what, I know I might get some slack on this but . . . as cringeworthy as Jeannie's "Stay, Dwight" signs and pleas may have been in the moment, or afterward when he spurned us, maybe just maybe her goodwill towards him may have been taken to a heart a little bit by him. I'm just saying that at the end of the day she supported him in a very public and demonstrative way. That goodwill on her part may have had a little to do with the way he was willing to come back here on the non-guaranteed contract and his feeling of owing us a little bit as fans and as a team. So Jeannie haters . . . deal with that for a second.
Nah, he’s older and wiser now. Dwights good with impressions, right? In his best Lawrence Tanter voice, he’d say “Laker pearls” and his kid count would stay at 1...2...3...4...5 Supermannn...has enough offspring.
Honestly, I just don't think Howard knew how to handle playing with Kobe. It isn't easy and Howard just wasn't mentally there at that point of his career. And then you have to consider that Kobe would be coming off a career-ending injury that had him sidelined for pretty much the entire season and so it didn't really make much sense for Howard to re-sign. Let's not forget that the only reason we looked at Dwight was because DeMarcus became injured. We were just both fortunate to have a want and need for each other and thus far, Dwight has proven exactly that. I didn't particularly care when we lost him the first go around because it became obvious our team was going to be in a rebuilding stage but losing him this time will hurt.
dwight wants it bad you can tell age is hitting him differently dudes gonna beast come play offs will prolly avg a double double off the bench this year
That cost him $4k.. I will assume he gave to the Lakers staff as well.. probably $5-10k. It seems like a lot but then you realize he makes that in 5 minutes of playing time...
Dwight was sensational tonight. Shame to lose this one and waste his outstanding effort. He filled in brilliantly with AD out.
He beasted it. Rondo helped get him going early with the 2 man game and then his hustle and energy nearly got us a win It's a shame he clanked those FTs. Would have locked in game ball.
Nice to see he still has something in the gas tank. I feel really positive about our big man rotation come playoffs, AD, JaVale and Dwight are great.
He came to play . It's called finishing with authority . Shooting 81.3% for the season in the restricted aera !
