I think the Booker comparisons apply more to Trae Young than Harden. The Hawks are basically the old Suns, Young (Booker) scores everything while they play no defense. In terms of this game, I thought it was hypocritical to see the Hawks commentators whine about Harden playing when Trae Young was still out there stat padding. Maybe they should worry about playing better defense if they don't want to get disrespected and humiliated like that. And for this Harden debate, let's agree to disagree. People have made their points on what they think of Harden and I can see why you guys think that way.
We got the #2 pick at the wrong time. I'm certain Magic would've fallen head over heels over him with his point forward skill set. Funny to see some thought of Doncic before and after the draft now:
Lmao what kind of comeback is that? “nobody wants to see a free throw competition” “No one wants to see fouls either god dammit” uhhh you do?
So Harden gets to the line an insane 15 times per game... I don't recall anyone ever getting this many FTs in my lifetime. Ridiculous!
greatest since mj. carve the bust. nobody else is talented enough to go 4-20 from three and score 50 (half of which came from the line). NOBODY!!!111
I'm curious. After every Harden good game we have someone ready to remind us of his greatness. Where's that today?
Harden is an empty stat padder who gets stuffed in the post-season. Thats his resume based on the past. He misses more 3s per game than anybody else in the NBA attempts. His usage rate is at about 40%... The entire Rockets offense is just give the ball to Harden and have him jack up step back 30 footers or flop to the rim and shoot two FTs. And then it gets exposed on the post-season.
he had 50 in an off game!!!!111 they had to foul him to prevent a 100 point game! drawing fouls is a skill!!! am i doing it right?
James Harden makes 37 million this season... in a few years he will make 47 million. Take Melo for example, who is playing for 2 million. Do you think he said to himself before his comeback... I could go and average 30 points a game and get a big contract if only I'd flop and draw fouls... but no, my integrity won't allow me to stoop that low. Do you think IT said, no... now that I lost a step... I'm going to draw fouls like Lou Williams so I finally get that contract I deserve... but no that's cheating? Do you think AD says... you know, I could average 50 points a game if only I'd drive to the rim and draw fouls... but I just can't do that to the fans and the league? Of course not... they can't do what Harden and Lou do. If they could, they'd do it. There's no conspiracy to take this funny looking guy with a beard and make him the offensive star of the league... the league isn't run by State Farm. He found a way to play that allows him to dominate in spite of his average stature and athleticism. Would Giannis dominate if he was 6 foot 6? He'd be a good player... but it is his length that makes him outstanding. Do you all deny his greatness because he was born a genetic freak? It's okay if you are seven foot and can just lay a ball over someone... but not okay if you are average size and find a way to overcome the taller player with more athleticism? I've already said I don't like the cheating... I remember a year or two back he pissed off Ingram yanking his arm and Ingram got the foul and it started that fight that messed us up for a month. But to take so much time out of your day to troll him and make videos to negate his accomplishments is ridiculous. If the fans could vote to change the rules so that flopping was penalized, I'd vote yes with the rest of you. But no, I'm not going to say he's a garbage player because that's the cool thing to do here. I bet some people were crying about LeBron coming here when the rumors started circulating... and now they are happy. Well, I bet the same would happen if Harden came to play with AD when LBJ retires.
show me the other guys who grab defenders' arms as they run alongside them. it is about honor. honestly, most athletes have it. and most fans value it. it's why harden's so unpopular. i never cried about lebron, and you don't see me tearing down the actual great players in the league. just harden. try again. btw, since we like to ask generally useless rhetorical questions: would harden dominate if he were 6'1" and didn't cheat like a sonofagun? *fun fact: swear filter doesn't catch my original end to that last phrase.
Ya hate to see it happening to CP2 .... unhappy apparently with his lot in life now as a "Thunder". https://www.yahoo.com/sports/chris-paul-rockets-gm-daryl-170510370.html
If Lou can succeed at 6' 1"... why not Harden? But like adult film, every inch you go down the lower your odds of making it in the industry. My point was that no one is offended at a Chamberlain, a Shaq, a Yao Ming coming along every few years and using their superior size to hack the game. But god forbid you are anywhere close to normal size and accomplish it. Even football has a place for an average size person... you can be a running back or receiver if you put your mind to it. In basketball they measure people like livestock to determine their future success. But sure, get angry at the people who find a way to succeed in this "fair and honorable" sport.
those guys weren't cheating. they were tall and strong. the fact that you put "honorable" in quotes pretty much explains your harden fandom. speaking of honor: morey also has none. those two were made for each other, along with dantoni.
You keep missing the point... the game which we all love is inherently flawed like boxing would be if they matched up lightweights with heavyweights. How do you think Floyd would do against Ali or Foreman in their primes? I've said for the hundredth time that I'd be all for changing the rules and giving technicals or ejections for flopping... but the game is unfairly stacked for someone who is born tall... and not normal tall but freakishly outlier tall. https://static1.squarespace.com/sta...6378/STATISTICS+-Dimensions+-+3-19-18+(1).pdf So if someone of normal height finds a way to compete... I find it no more unfair than a six foot tall person being forced to compete against seven footers with a hoop set up ten feet in the air.
