Yep, he's looking a lot more comfortable out there. As much as he drives me insane, I'm still rooting for him to do well of course. Glad to see him turning a corner because he was absolutely garbage before.
Big 3 there at the end. He was wide open but the pressure was up. Nothing but net! I hope he keeps it up.
That a was a big shot. For a guy who is asked to catch and shoot in this offense it can be a boon going forward. It needs to be mentioned that with a bigger/clarified role KCP's consistency has improved. When Bradley comes back I wonder how he and the rest of the guard rotation will respond.
If even KCP is clicking like this we are in good shape! Waiting for the return of Avery Bradley for our D though.
So that’s where it is...I was looking for this gif. Anyways, I’m happy KCFreeze iced the game for us. He is showing Vogs that he can step up as a starter with Bron at point. Although AD did mention in the walk-off that he was disappointed in the defensive effort last night and how the team misses Av because of it. KCP, AD calling you out bruh. Don’t lose intensity on that side of the ball.
He's been sneaky good for us this year - he gets a lot of flack for sure (and most of it deserved) but he has been decent defensively (when put on smalle rplayers) and he's starting to hit his shots too. If he keeps this up - he'll be well worth that $8M. I think KCP having a more defined role also helps - when he's starting, he has more confidence I feel. HUGE 3 from him last night - he sealed it for us when we were scrambling...I love it.
i know it was 2 days ago, but that three saved us from a bad, bad loss. just a couple more plays like that and he's totally redeemed from whatever he was doing the first 8-10 games.
It'll take a lot more than that for me to forgive his garbage play for us over the past three years or so. But at least it's a step in the right direction. He was just so bad early this season that it was shocking. Hopefully he starts delivering on a regular basis for the rest of the year. Then we can begin to justify his ludicrous contract(s).
his first contract came after we had already struck out in FA and was, at the time, probably the best use of cash we could have made in that it kept lebron's max slot open. last year's contract was an obvious overpay to keep positive relations with klutch. this year's was actually pretty close to his market value, probably bumped up a couple million for the klutch tax, though. if he plays solid d, scores 10ppg, and shoots 45/35 from the field, he's actually outperforming an 8 million dollar paycheck, imo. as it stands, he's averaging 7 on 44/33, and that and his d have trended upwards. again, his salary is basically sub-MLE, which is pegged to league average.
