Not if...when Boogs gets back in the playoffs, it’s going to be a problem. That roster will shorten up come May, but I hope we hold a spot for all our bigs and just abuse teams with it. Perimeter oriented teams are hit or miss, but our lengf will get higher percentage shots on offense often and gives us the advantage on D most of the time.
Dwight, pardon me, seems sometimes over rah rahing like last night against Miami when he knew he had the mic on. Someone else commented in Game Time. Jaded cynics we are.
As usual, great energy and came up with some key plays in the 4th. Proud of him playing smart while in foul trouble and keeping the effort level up without fouling out. I feel like both he and McGee have gotten some really s***ty whistles against them this season.
Yeah, too many offensive foul calls for me plus some ticky tack down low. I mean, the leeway they used to give guys like Tim Duncan who was always moving on screens or the whole Boston team that beat us in the Finals with what Kevin Garnett and Kendrick Perkins used to get away with? That was insane. We don't have to get leniency like that but a little bit would be nice. Perhaps come playoff time we will get more respect.
12 & 8 in 20 minutes. He and McGee killed it. There was a stretch in the second quarter, he was dominating them. Some grown man dunks. Honestly am surprised to see he was the only Laker with a negative +/-, wouldn't have guessed he was negative last night. Not unless he lost points for his dunk attempt where he forgot what year it was.
Ehh, +/- is a tricky stat. Teams can have crazy bursts where shots are just falling. Warriors went on a 7-0 run due to a dumb foul that sent D'Lo to the line, a turnover by Danny Green, and then a terrible inbound pass that led to a wide-open three for the Warriors all in a span of 30 seconds. Lakers (not Howard) making mistakes and that +/- would penalize Howard because of that. Some of the passes Howard made thus far into the season has shown what he is really capable of. On the elbow, Howard can make those passes to a cutter. Frank should try and get more of those plays designed.
