He should have had a better mentor to show him how to use his body and skills. I don’t know if James Worthy would be the one, but someone needs to work with him. He is his own worst enemy it seems with the settling shots when he has a full arsenal.

Got it done once again. Dynamic duo indeed with AD and Lebron.

I would love to see AD cut back on the step-backs. He loves the baseline jumper as well which is probably one of his least efficient shots. Has anyone noticed that AD hasn't fallen down nearly as much as the first few games?

Against the Heat was the most success he's had with his J. Hopefully that continues. He dismantled their zone attack. Those 26 looked easy for him.

seems like just a matter of time before he's "out indefinitely" because of this

yeah, it's not great. we'd have a hard time winning any games without him, though, even in diminished capacity.

still, seems like it's ripe for a real injury.

So what is his injury and when did it happen originally? Has anyone heard the Laker training stuff mention anything? Other teams say player X has this injury and will play or be out X amount of time. Laker fans are left shaking a magic eight ball and hoping we get the answers we want.

I respect how AD plays hard every possession but he's going to need to adjust his play if he wants longevity in the league.
He reminds me of a Japanese pitcher in MLB who goes full blast and then blows their arm out after three years.
Effort is good, but recklessness maybe isn't the best way to play.

This ^^^. Definitely not good whatever it is in the shoulder area. Even hurt him blocking a shot later last night. Forgot which shoulder for sure. Left?

To build on this, there have been concerns internally from the Laker's medical staff about his shoulder for the last few games. Davis has adamantly refused to sit out.

I don't know the diagnosis, unfortunately. I probably wouldn't understand it even if I did :)

explains the perimeter floating on offense, i guess. but there's simply no way to avoid contact on those shoulders whilst playing basketball.

You could see this coming from preseason, especially considering prior years consistent injuries. He goes to the ground a lot, though this injury is from that failed dunk attempt.
