Because his whole life all he knew was adulation and do anything with natural ability. Once those two went away, for the first time in his life, he was scorned. Now, he put in the work, eats well and his mindset is humbled. It's a great story and a good way for him to put a stamp on his hall of fame career.
Exactly. He didn't exactly load up the box score last night, but he was the heart of our defensive lockdown in the fourth quarter. A key block and a handful of critical shot alterations made all the difference. The statement dunks didn't hurt either.
At this rate he should get votes for 6th man (think Kuz will end up being our contender for that award), MIP, all defensive team consideration, and comeback player.
It's early but I couldn't help to start to think about what our ideal closing lineup should be for the forwards. We always assumed it would be something LIKE this: C - Davis PF- Kuzma SF- Lebron SG - Green PG - Bradley or Caruso But with Dwight playing as well as he had and his rating with him and AD on the floor does the closing lineup mean Kuz might be left out or does Kuz still finish when he's back to his normal self and the lineup looks like this: C- Dwight PF - Davis SF- Lebron SG - Kuz PG- Green Obviously position don't really matter but what 5 guys should be out there if Dwight needs to be one of them given his plays. It's still early but it got me think last night when Kuz and Dwight were killing it out there but AD needed to come back in the game and took Kuz's place. I think when Kuz is right, given his dynamic play he can bring us should be on the court to close the game. Or maybe this is just something Vogul is going to have to handle on a game by game basis?
didn't we have sort of lineup with howard/kuz/james/ad at one pt against chi? but I'd sit Kuz in favor of howard if its a close gm, ad/james can take the O load while howard cleans up everything with green/avery doing their thing
I've wanted Anthony Davis more than any other player for the past half decade. We get him, and Dwight Howard is my favorite player on the team. This league, man.
Agree...not to mention knocking opposing star players out of the game with his chin, cross checking others on drives and getting away with holding on screens for game trying shots.
Didn’t even capitalize LA SMH Seriously, what an incredible turnaround in his life. he’s a shining example of hope to people of how perceptions about you can change if you will humble yourself and just get to work. I think he’s an easy guy to root for. might even end up being a champion one day
Look at you, posted that without even mentioning that Dwight set the second part of that screen with his butt. Proud of you.
