He better not bolt after the season. Seeing BI ball like crazy and AD leaving would put me on suicide watch...

Shut up and dribble in LA, AD. Also... more low-post play, please.

Has anyone ever said. "No, I don't want to play here/ there" when asked by reporters?

He's from Chicago. He's not going to diss his home like that. He went through too much to get the keys to LA.

chicago would have to move off some bad salary and/or dump a lot of youth to get the cap space, and there aren't a lot of teams with big space to absorb dead weight next summer. if AD truly wanted to bolt, we could sign and trade for some of chicago's interesting young players, essentially recycling our AD assets. but i highly doubt this will be the case.

Jesus Christ AD - you tryna give LA a heart attack?!

In all fairness - he was asked a question, and he answered it honestly. My concern is that at SOME point - he's going to go back to Chicago. I don't think it'll be this summer - but I can see him wanting to go back home after his next contract ends. He'll still only be about 30/31 years old, so he'll have plenty of game left. I just hope we win a bunch of championships with him before he does bolt back to Chicago.

no sense worrying about it too much. if lebron has a career threatening injury like kobe did, i think AD could definitely walk. these are the risks you take. ingram/ball/hart weren't leading us anywhere anyway.

What if he won MVP or DOPY, then went on to win the title and Finals MVP and then wanted to play home. Would we hate him then?

I would hate the front office and Klutch first... but yeah, I would turn against AD only because he knew what we had to give up to get him.
He's been non committal about a long term signing from the start, so I wouldn't be shocked but hopefully we make a title run, he likes his teammates and we can keep him.

nope. especially if he made it a s&t in which we got some real compensation--which, as i said before, might be a necessity should he want to get to chicago.

Chi can make cap space themselves but they do have players I'd want, WCJ and Colby but doubt Chi gives them 2 up

It really depends on how much of a hit the cap takes. But let’s assume it remains at the projected amount of 116m, then Chicago has 10m in cap.

Let’s say Otto pulls a Horford and opts out of his last year to get a bigger longer payday elsewhere, the Chi will have about 38m in cap space to play with.

So if Otto gets traded at the deadline for expirings...look out.

I’m still looking at NY sideways cause you know it’s good business for Rich to have a heavy hitter out there in that market repping Klutch. They’ll have potentially about 60m to play with next summer.

I still highly doubt he leaves tho. But free agency is just too wild to predict.

Gowd ,I am tired of social media
Anthony Davis says he never said he considered going to Chicago next summer. He said he is focused on winning a championship with the Lakers, everyone is aware he’ll be a free agent and “we’ll see where it goes

with how otto is playing early on, he'd be pretty silly to give up 28 million guaranteed to test the FA market. he might not get that over 4 years if he was testing today.
