Yeah if he's actually injured - I don't see why we're taking risks in November. Clippers are going to load manage Kawhi and live with the results....why can't we?

It’s AD’s right shoulder that is currently bothering him, but he’s had issues with his left shoulder before. It’s why he wears that compression shirt under his uni.

    AD’s injury history:

    https://www.foxsports.com/nba/anthony-davis-player-injuries

    In April 2016:
It turns out the Pelicans forward was suffering quietly, playing this season with a torn labrum in his left shoulder that — when coupled with the left knee injury he suffered Friday — led the New Orleans to announce Sunday that it will shut him down for the rest of the season.

Davis sat out the Pelicans’ 109-105 win against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday at the Smoothie King Center. He’ll miss the team’s final 13 games and will undergo surgery on his shoulder and a procedure — a team spokesman said it might or might not be surgical — on his knee.

I want to note that he has been relatively injury free these last 3 years (if you count the trade demand season last year).

Also something to note it’s only Kuz (not Dudz) that is capable of backing up Bron/AD for significant time.

Also something to note, HE DOES NOT WANT TO PLAY CENTER IF HE DOESNT HAVE TO!

Now pardon me as I dust off all your eyelashes that flung off from that collective eyeroll. I’m not concerned with that...just the Brow.

Gunnar needs to pump him up SNL style back in the day.

technically less than 3 quarters which is 36 minutes and AD played only 31. Just trying to prop the guy up more because all the players who have ever gone 40 and 20 never did it close to 31 mins.

This. He didn’t even have a great game yet still got some huge scores and was the 2nd star we need

I mean, he took 28 shots. It was quiet because Luka and LeBron were putting on an absolute spectacle of a show.

No 40/20 today. Not an all star.

Wish he would've helped prevent the rebounding massacre that was going down in the first half, but I'll let it slide.

31 points. Hit some bigs ones when they got him going on the left block and some ginmies in transition courtesy of Bron. It was Bron's night, but AD played a big hand in this one too.

Yea, that’s the flaw only because his game would be even better. He’s a true finesser. Kareem like.

A quiet 31 from him but I really liked his defense on KP in the 4th/OT. That's how you get it done - defend the other team's best big and shut him down.

He hit some tough shots too in the 4th/OT...and then a few nice rolls to the basket and RUNNING the floor to get an easy bucket.

What a luxury man - haven't felt like this since Kobe/Pau.

I had a torn labrum in my right shoulder for a decade. Always a kink to deal with but not debilitating unless you lift weights, which I did and I could not ever go heavy on the bench because of it.

Torn Labrum is a 1 year recovery. Sometimes longer if it's extensive tear. Surgery and Stem Cell will need to happen for him to fix it quick and 100%.

He really is like a reincarnated KG on defense - same body type, same height, same crazy wingspan, same crazy agility. Even on mediocre for him offensive night he's awesome on D

Only complaint is that he takes a lot of tough shots

That's what he's use to from having to carry those NO teams every possession, every game. I hope that as the team's chemistry builds, he doesn't have to take tough shots and our playmakers can find easy buckets for him.

All he knows. Considering all the new pieces we have here it's amazing we've started out as well as we have. I figured we'd struggle more out the gate. Once everything truly clicks he'll be getting easier looks.

He'll get easier looks when he plays the 5 ... AND when we'll run more Bron/AD PNR ... I guess we're mainly saving it for the playoffs .

He could save some energy during the regular season though ... the one on one stuff is more taxing
