We can't prop the Lakers organization for being always classy to their players and think it's fine and a good look to other minimum - lower tier players in the future ..... to have courted Dudley, he agreed and signed and has been upholding his end .... to then just release him saying oops we goofed, you're not the Guy we wanted, for a "possible" grass is greener outcome . What a s****y look in contrast for the organization.

Of course for Iggy .... Jared who and Troy who?

That's not grass is greener hoping. That's Iggy in hand vs Dudz or Troy in the bush.

^ i'm a little concerned as well... years of bad medical staff and lingering injuries made me paranoid.

Young man falls a LOT. Feels like a leg injury coming at any moment with that Bambi legs thing going on.

Hmmm so should I engage, or would that be considered a rehash? Wait...isn’t that what these dudes just did...rehash something that's been discussed ad nauseum? Hey Weez, since you always so interested in how/where/why I post, what’s your opinion here? It’s all so very confusing. #WWWD?

BBP: AD's shoulder says hi. Also AD's 40/20 game came with him at the 4. Also it's a small sample, but our most offensively efficient lineups (that have played a minimum of 5mins together) has none of em with AD at the 5.

And if I remember correctly you've been the hostile one in our previous exchanges, so maybe self applicate your psychoanalysis.

LT: Mbenga being strung along on 10days just to save a buck and BShaw getting waived and resigned to save a measly 1m is how we used to treat role players and they still came to play with Shaq/Kobe/Pau. Bogut caused a stink, we dumped Brew, Beas and TB, we allowed Lance's noodle to slide on over to the east and we still got free agents to take vet mins this summer.

Khmrp: Since we’re rehashing, remember that scenario where Rob had Booz gave Bron the deuce in backing out of his commitment to the Cavs for the Jazz? And how did all that play out again?...with Rob sitting in Bron’s house signing a 4 year deal. Lol

Remember how we told other free agents to hold up while we waited on Kawhi and dumped other players for him while asking AD to relinquish his kicker for him? Yeah that's how business is done in the NBA.

So please spare me player/team relations in the name of Dudz. Lol. I’m sure Bron as our star wants Melo here before Dudz...yet has that happened? How does it look that we tried to strong arm Bron’s sole Cleveland title winning coach, who also was a Laker in his playing days? Klutch tax psshh please...JR still out here looking for a gig. AD/Klutch could hold us over a barrel if they wanted to. So cutting Dudz so that my mans has more of a legit backup for himself while having someone shoulder the load with center minutes is the best way to approach player relations. Hey Boog, would you look at us sideways if we cut Dudz? We stuck with you, right?

Oh btw let’s not rehash the summer...why are we even talking about whether we would do the AD trade or not? It happened fam...no need to rehash it and harp on it anymore saying if you would do the deal or not. If you didn’t get the memo there’s a shelf life on discussion here supposedly. It’s not my call and it’s bizarre AF, but that’s what I’ve been told, so you would think it universally applies to every member here.

    So let’s keep it moving...

To be fair, he tweeted that midway through the second quarter before AD went ballistic in the third. That tweet aged like milk.

@vash. that boozer move put a black mark on boozer for a while and thats between player n team, look at the debacle with mia/dall situation with dragic trade....put in real life situations, you go to call dealership n u get a good deal but tells salesman to hold onto car while you go shopping elsewhere to see if you cant get better price, you think the salesman gona be like sure anything you want?

Booz was always going to put a black mark on himself...

What about Dallas? They backed out the Miami deal and still made a S&t deal with Memphis for Delin Wright. The #metoo animal house didn’t deter Zinger from signing a max there...DJ flipped em the bird and Dallas still took him back. Bill Duffy and the Mavs had some bad history, yet Duffy didn’t block Luka from being traded there.

The bottomline is the rest of the league hates us cause they ain’t us. There was a hit piece on Rob and we still got AD wanting to come here and we got that deal done. I used to care about player/team relations but this hating a** league ain’t never going to quit the way they see us.

In terms of timeline I pointed out the Delon Wright trade that went down between Dallas and Memphis when Green chose us over them. So we had a ton of cap in the Kawhi pursuit and our contingency was pretty weak outside grabbing Green. Again we grab Green and still have about 20m in cap left to have a salary dumped on us along with other trade assets.

Great thing about acquiring a contract via capspace is that you can immediately flip it without waiting 2 months to do so. RFA leverage extension (like Sabonis) is something we could have played had we had the capspace or contracts to immediately flip. But we didn’t have assets.

So if teams want to move on without waiting on us to see Kawhi thru, there was still other means with the cap space we had. And f*** keeping good relations with the league. Once AD was traded for, we don’t need to play nice with other teams and their execs anymore.

    Anyways I’m relap..uh rehashing again.

"You don’t want to really simulate what happens in games and have a chance to aggravate it.”

Huh? Better to aggravate it in a REAL game?

Would it be THAT bad of an idea to play it safe and rest AD tonight against the Mavs?

I think once Kuzma is back in the fold - we can afford to rest AD or LeBron. Right now, we cannot.

As we saw, the Clippers tried to rest Kawhi and it blew up in their face. Unless these guys absolutely need it, do not rest them this early in the season. Wait at least 10 games. Or wait until we're playing a bad team (Warriors) and rest em for that game.

well, if he's hurt, it's not "rest". we're in no position to "rest" anyone, ever, imo. when AD isn't available, we'll get pasted. let's save those for actual injuries.

the question is whether playing on it presents a serious/elevated risk of a bigger injury. in that case, he's injured and should sit.

My thoughts exactly. I wish we knew the actual nature of his shoulder injury. Is it a rotator cuff? I guess we'll find out more as the next couple weeks unfold. Hopefully nothing serious although it definitely seems to be bothering him regardless of his dominance last game.
