I’m excited to have him back, the bench needs a creative scorer and he’s said he’s worked on that. He was looking good with Team USA before the injury too, burying threes. But, yeah, I would expect some rust at first, and I would be happy with 15-18 ppg.

The only things I want from Kuz is for him to be an efficient scorer and consistently 3rd on the team in scoring. Anything else we get from him will be gravy, but his scoring will be needed on this team.

Ceiling= Lamar Odom level impact on a championship team.... not likely, but I can hope

The Human Torch? Cool name just as long it is not about his defensive deficiencies...

Good , I'm tired of these 3 guards lineups , it won't work against good teams

True ... I think we will win the title if he hits open 3s AND become a consistent above average defender at the SF position though.

His improvements will be the deciding factor of our season imo ... unless we get Iggy

well, i don't think he can have the two-way impact odom had. in his prime, he was great on the boards and in both team and individual defense. his offense came and went, scoring-wise, but he was always a good facilitator, which is a huge bonus. in some ways, odom was draymond before draymond.

i don't think kuz has the natural tool set to get there. he can be a better scorer, though, for sure. probably already is. i always thought of kuz's ceiling as rashard lewis. ok on defense but never great, problematic offensive opportunist with a versatile scoring arsenal.

gotta hit that three with much greater consistency to get there, though.

He had 19 PPG shooting 16 shots per game last season. An improved three point shooting shot along with more opportunities (LeBron already deferring to other teammates) should get Kuzma up to 20-24.

That's a pretty high ceiling. He can be better offensively than Lamar, but I am not sure if he defend that well. They are not similar players, but I know you're thinking more in terms of overall impact.

Donovan Mitchell is avg. 24 and he's the primary focus on O for utah, Kuzma not getting 20-24

Exactly. There were times he was our second scoring option last year behind Lebron. When Lebron was out he sort of became our #1 option. He will now be the unquestioned third option with a first option that is getting a ton of touches. We need an efficient 16-17 from him night in and night out. If he does that and plays even average defense, we'll be set.

He has to shoot 36% or better on 3’s. No more 30% on three pointers.

The best thing we get from Kuz is his size out there. He'll probably take all of Dudley's mins and hopefully some of KCPoop's as well.

He hasn't played since what, July? Going to be rusty as hell but once he get's going, we're going to be dangerous with his ability to score. I'd try and keep 2 of AD, Lebron or Kuz out there at all times.

What if Kuzma just explodes into a star this year?

If he gets around 20-22ppg on 37% from 3 (high volume) this year with good defense, i'd consider that exploding.

he basically needs to play the Klay role when Warriors had KD and Steph...
