Yeah he’s ours to lose, but the media hungry for some clicks. I hope we don’t give em a reason.

For example I don’t like this center narrative. We know AD can play there and at times it’s beneficial. But any time the media goes fishing for something, we should just be like we have players at the 5 that are capable and we won’t play AD there unless he’s comfortable with the matchup. I don’t want to see headlines, where he’s warming up to the idea. Nah, give dude what he wants instead of making it seem like we’re forcing him to do something he doesn’t want to. We should have never fed that narrative and you know that’s what the media wants and us doing. Don’t give em a reason.

Tinfoilers: Man o manna it sure looks like Bron is heading to LA
abeer: well, Houston will find a way...

Seriously, you know exactly what I'm talking about bro. Clickbait culture wants any little thing to get AD thinking sideways on us. Don't give em a reason. We've seen first hand how crazy and unpredictable pre/free agency can get. Or do I have to rehash and remind you haha.

He's ours to lose, which is why I posted what Woj said on his pod. Keep the dude happy! Supposedly George was hellbent on being here too.

if AD says he wants to be a FA, why continue to worry about giving him an ext? He's not signing it for whatever reason

Cause he hasn’t publicly turned down an extension offer from us and Klutch klients are signing extensions all over the place.

If the insinuation is he isn’t leaving LA, try to show him you want him to re-up his a** asap. And even if we can’t clear cap to renegotiate a max deal before the summer, then do what you would for a free agent you want to keep. Coddle the s*** out of him. He shouldn’t be warming up to anything...we should be hot and bothered at whatever he wants haha.

so you'd advocate cutting players in order to free up more space so he can get his max ext. offer knowing he isn't going to sign it just so he "knows" we want him back?

Unless you believe Daniels and Dudz are playoff rotation players when typically the count goes down to 8-10 deep, then use we can cut em lose to free up cap. They are vet mins, so you can essentially trade them into another team’s vet exception along with some money if that other team wants to waive em. But it does get tricky after that. Kcp would have to get traded with next to no salary coming back.

Anyways, extension or not...you do agree that you do keep dude happy before he becomes the guy every team chases this coming summer. If he’s bound to be a Laker, why try to force him or warm him up to anything?

Its the most bizarre game of tug of rope I’ve seen. It went from he’s comfortable playing the 5 in the postseason to warming up to the idea of playing 5 in the regular season. How bout this, play Dwight/McGee close to 48 minutes. These dudes (Dwight 20/ McGee 15) is avging 35 mins a game.

He’s ours to lose, so “don’t f*** it up”...which insinuates what exactly? That we still can.

Contemplating whether AD is staying just 3 games into the season makes me sad. :(

    word.

said it already: AD playing zero center isn't a franchise player. his versatility is fully unlocked when he's at the 5. don't make him wrassle embiid and steven adams much, but don't waste him playing the 4 against mo harkless or something stupid like this.

of course, AD knows this deep down. the coaching staff knew it all along, just like his previous coaching staffs knew it. he'll play at center when it makes sense and not complain.

if he leaves for the knicks because they promise never to play him at center, they deserve each other and the disappointment that will follow.

He could be matched at the 5 against a physically weaker center hypothetically than at the 4 with a strong PF. Would you still carry on about this? Seriously. Does it never stop? Email the f****** FO and Jeanie! Why do you beat us up about it as if we can do something? Same with every other "pet issue" you have with the way the Lakers are doing their business. Why us??? It's not rational.

In case you missed it, y’all beat me up with the opposite haha.

He wants to play the 4 till the postseason, so make it happen. This isn’t hard. Don’t convince him...don’t warm him to the idea...don’t do nothing but make him happy. This isn’t shoulda woulda coulda...it’s make it happen, cause it’s coming at us next summer when he’s a free agent.

Check the advanced stats, it’s not like he’s killing at the 5 vs the 4. We’re not at any disadvantage with him avoiding the 5 either. Only disadvantage we would be at is if dude was injured. Plus we’re a deep team remember? Dwight/McGee should be getting more minutes there than just 35mpg.

So beat y’all selves up with that concept for a change and spare AD and I from it.

He needs to stop falling on the floor so much. He does it way more than others. He can try to avoid it.
