Ball getting benched in the 2nd half of the very first game of the season is not really a good sign... Even though the consensus is that he wasn't bad. He even made 2 consecutive free throws...something he never accomplished with the Lakers lol He was supposedly pretty weak on D and got repeatedly torched by Van Vleet / Lowry. But he is getting "Luke'd" again...and one has to wonder why...
I’ll eat my crow on this one, but hey, I did say Trae could pass Lonzo. It just happened quicker than expected. I think Trae is a good kid so I’m happy for him.
not that i want to argue in favor of lonzo, but you basically have polar opposites. lonzo is all d with limited offense, young is all offense and basically zero defense.
his stats are nearly identical. 3pt and ft% are both up, but still not where they need to be for him to be a viable offensive option. but mostly looks exactly like the guy we had--including the fact that he's already missing time.
Yeah; that draft is looking pretty weird right now. Tatum at 3 is better than 1 and 2. Fox at 5 is maybe - maybe - better than all of them ahead of him. Collins, Kennard are probably better than the top 5. Then Mitchell, Adebayo, John Collins, and Allen are the best of that draft, I think. At least so far.
