LOL again at Nike's influence on team uniforms and the clubs signing off on the worst iterations.

btw, putting on my vash hat: i suggested not waiving deng. turns out we didn't need his cash on the FA market (i mean, it went to kcp, basically). could have had him as salary ballast or off the books already had we not stretched. could have broken his deal into smaller bad deals that could be ballast in other trades, too.

    i'm a trade-not-FA guy, though.

The most stunning thing to me is that Deng is 34. Friggin Vince Carter will be 43 in January and he’s still ballin. I assumed Deng was like 38. I mean, I guess he could be though, the 34 should probably be stated “34”.

It's insane that Vince can still ball. A tremendous amount of work his gone into him taking care of his body. But also he's had lottery winning luck in his ability to stay healthy this late into his career. Never thought "half man, half season" would still be at it. But against the Knicks two games ago, he put up 17.

And especially with how high he played above the rim for so long. Must have fabulous knees.

carter's an interesting case. maybe all his missed time early enabled him to heal more effectively and led to long-term health?

still wonder how good he could have been if he was maniacally driven like kobe/mj. probably as good or better than them, given his natural gifts.
