This is usually true. If you put yourself in situations where things can be said about you that aren't true, who is to blame? If nothing else you prove to be guilty of poor judgment.
It's a convenient quote for people who want to roast others. Certainly, in this age of the internet, social justice has not proven itself to be without errors in judgment and opinion. People get accused of s*** all the time that ultimately proves to be lies that are far from the truth. When you start to believe everyone's agenda, you have become the sheep the rest of us worry about.
He's probably on his honeymoon somewhere nice now reading this? I had been annoyed that there was zip information on whether or when he had the operation but now no longer care. On a side note if Dwight is healthy and is capable of giving us near 80% from what he was 2 years ago like we hoped from Boogie ..... then we are likely better off than with Boogie. Look at the rim protection with Dwight, McGee and AD.
“14 spots taken so one left now. They are thinking about Dwight and Noah right now last I was told. They will cut Cousins and sign Iggy if needed as well. They will get permission from the league to allow DMC to continue his rehab with the Lakers team of Doctors and use all facilities and such.” From CyberX
This turn of events and roster revision by circumstance since Leonard bait-N-switched us ..... has become pretty damn exciting IMO. Better actually than with Boogie. IMO now seeing Dwight sweating with his shirt off and shooting that step back J. Gonna kick Clippers a** this year if both squads have reasonable health with no injuries longer than 3-? weeks.
still dont want him to come back this season, I see more potential for negative effects than I do positive ones unless injuries to Mcgee/Howard come playoff time happens.... If he comes back there is huggggeee risk he'll get another major injury and 2ndly that late into the season would be quite difficult to incorporate him into the mix w/o also hurting Mcgee or Howards feelings (that should matter, it affects chemistry)
Glad to hear his legal troubles are behind him. As for his return to the line-up, I see no reason to concern ourselves with this. Either he'll be ready to come back during the season, in which case he'll be slowly integrated as the coaches see fit, or he won't. Either way, hard to see how he could end up being a net-minus.
Per Tania: “I am pleased to announce all criminal charges against DeMarcus Cousins have been dropped,” Donald said in a statement. “The case is dismissed and Mr. Cousins is looking forward to moving onward with his life and career as a professional basketball player.” The NBA announced an investigation into the accusation against Cousins. The status of that investigation is unclear. League investigations are not contingent on criminal charges. Although it is unlikely Cousins will be able to play this season, the Lakers have not ruled out his return at some point.
Or curb unattractive behavior to send the right message. You never hear complaints from solid citizen players.
So happy for this dude - I hope he can return for us at some point this season. Imagine the spacing with Cousins and AD on the floor together with LeBron....wow.
It would be wise IMO for him to not come back this season. Coming back last season and playing through pain is what likely led to further injury down the line. For the sake of his career he would be smart to take the entire season and offseason to get right. Selfishly of course I’d like to see him back to help us for the playoffs, but I would not like to see his career end because he does so.
He's getting paid to rehab, and the Lakers are sending a message to the rest of the league they take care of their own. There are no expectations for him to return, but serious kudos to him for being able to remain engaged, contributing to the team however he can, and choosing to rub elbows with greatness up close in spite of injury. He may turn out to be a huge catch for us later. He'll likely have to take another 1 yr deal to prove he's healthy too, and every aspiring championship team needs pieces like that they can reload with annually.
i think it's been worth keeping him around, for several reasons. i suppose a scenario could arise where we absolutely need that roster spot, but we're not there and may not get there. even if we did, i feel confident that the team would be mindful of trying to maintain positive relations there.
