You watch it will be laced with lewd BS, a politcal agenda and a bunch of fictional dramatized garbage. Gambling, throwing games etc... maybe I'm too pessimistic but everything seems to be laced with some sort of toxic agenda these days.
Get well Worthy, he’s going to need that knee to walk around the studio giving the game winning Worthy clap a lot this season.
I knew Zo would come out with a track leaving a parting shot to the Lakers. Those extra new tats got him feeling brolic I guess. Damn, I just realized how much better it feels without Lavar quips. **exhale...**
It's based on the book "Showtime" by Jeff Pearlman. If you haven't read the book (and everyone on here should ABSOLUTELY read it), I can tell you there is nothing in there about gambling or throwing games. It's a really fun read. It's so much fun to go back and live in that space. For me, growing up in the 80s, being a Laker fan was pure bliss. I can't wait to see the show.
KD is right though...the Knicks have been garbage for several decades. The current generation grew up with Kobe, LeBron, Wade etc...they haven't even watched MJ play live. So for them the perception is more the Knicks being a dumpster fire than a cool place to work. NY will always have the city going for it but from a franchise perspective, they have been hot garbage for too long to be considered a good franchise.
it's why getting lebron and AD and hopefully stringing together a couple good years is pretty vital right now. just one period of good play might have saved the knicks from...whatever they are now.
i agree completely. though i think we've managed to quasi-overcome similarly bad ownership/management for a while now. dolan's path shows us that it's possible for things to go much worse, obviously.
Watched some footage of a couple Pelicans games. I’m feeling good about the AD trade. B.I. is still in iso mode, but he can be good. Maybe one more year. Zo, he should have a good year since he has the pieces around him. But I think the hype was way above the product when he was here. Hart, I’m surprised with him. I thought he was better. I don’t see it, not even as a low first round value pick. Still can’t shoot the 3. It’s a fun team to watch. Will be interesting to see how Zion’s big body holds up over a long season.
jrue holiday is the key. he's been underrated for years (remember when philly got a steal by dealing him for nerlens noel and the 10th pick?! oops!), but he misses a lot of time, historically. i don't think they can beat anyone without him.
