If DH can rebound and defend like a beast, I won’t have a problem with him. I mean heck I cheered for Rondo and I still can’t stand him. I can only remember him as a green puke and he was a turnover machine last season but I still cheered.

he came early to walk Hollywood Blvd if we're being honest

how that gets twisted into dedication and being a bonus, I have no idea

I just don't want headlines of him street walking after games and not getting proper sleep.

This just in, 6’11 man can dunk a basketball, further details at 11. [IMG]

No one doubts Dwight can jump, dunk, rebound, block shots, and play some quality minutes. It’s his attitude, his ability to destroy a locker room, his absolutely incredible lack of self-awareness, and the fact that every team he leaves is thrilled or eager to get him out the door that’s the issue. Every offseason he says he’s ready to start anew and he’s a changed man, and every season nothing changes. Good on him for showing up a day early to prove his commitment, but really he kind of has to do so because he’s burned so many bridges in the first place.

So yes, Dwight Howard does suck, not so much as a basketball player as is being played up here with hyperbole for laughs (I assume, I didn’t actually laugh), but as a person. Dwight Howard the human being is a kind of garbage person. You don’t even see Royce White coming to his defense, and Memphis didn’t even plan to bring him to camp, what more needs to be said.

    :Magicshrug:

I don’t like Dwight being here for the same reasons I wouldn’t want Melo, they don’t know their actual worth, their actual role at this point, and if they aren’t happy, no one around them is going to be happy.

He can't. He's done. His brain is and always will be mush. He can't hit free throws to save his life. Howard is trash.

In other news...a 7' man says, to hell with my role & livelihood, I advocate my 6'11" competitor joining the team and taking my potential minutes away.

Seeking for further comment, a 6'10" man jumped in and said, I didn't want to play center, so signing dude will certainly get me out of a jam... And I'm not talking space. He then walked away saying that's all folks.

And since it's Hollywood's team, a Ninja Turtle going by the name of Leorondo (or something to that effect) was also available for comment.

Dwight is Dwight. I'm not happy about him back. I'm only hopeful that he will contribute and not be distraction.

This is just my observation, but it seems like Davis is really trying not to play center. To me, resorting to Dwight seems like great lengths to make sure AD is a forward. I think that's concerning considering our 3 best players (Kuz LBJ AD) are trying to fit their minutes into 2 forward positions. Hopefully our crunch time lineup involves AD sliding to center.

I already made peace with it. I knew as soon as Dwight’s name came up we were going to sign him. I understand all the hate and leeriness. He’s been a crap teammate everywhere he’s gone. I am really hoping this time he’s changed but I realize that could just be wishful thinking. I do believe he will be on a probationary period, start screwing up and he’s gone. If it happens, will it still leave time/interest to get Noah or ?, I sure hope so. August has not been a good month for the Lakers so far. Here’s hoping the season goes a lot better.

I'm gonna need help talking myself into this one. Hopefully he realizes he is no where near the top of the pecking order & just comes in & gives us solid minutes at backup C. I've been able to accept LeBron as a Laker & even give Rondo a pass, but if you would have told me 3 years ago that Rondo, LBJ & Howard would be key players on the Lakers, I might have started looking for another Team to root for..
