No happy talk about wanting to play for the P&G always and do well for them. This wonderfully for us is real passion to honor his father who's no longer here.
"I think it’s great to have that problem, to have so many guys that can play that position" It's crazy to think about our roster now, we have a plethora of line ups to throw out there and they all make sense. No more Lonzo at PG and no one else really. No more Kuz at the 5 because... No more KCP being the one main weapon out there.
Looooong Q&A, but I liked this bit “I’ve been a Laker for about two weeks now and this is crazy. This is the most love I’ve ever had. I’ve never had so many fans hitting me up and congratulating me. Anywhere I walk in Los Angeles, there are Laker fans! They’re all over the place! They’ve been showing me extreme love.”
I hope all the NBA players see this and that's literally something that's legit. Even IF you're just a contributor, you can become a Laker legend and won't be forgotten. Best example is Derek Fisher, Robert Horry IMO(fan since 97). I'm sure y'all fans from earlier time can name drop more.
Fine I'll keep going some. AC Green(probably a reach), Byron Scott(Coached so might be cheating)... Ordinary NBA fans would probably call Michael Cooper a reach.
This is my favorite time of year. We see two guys on the same team practicing and we get excited about "team chemistry". One of the more overrated assets on a sports team in the history of sports.
...here's a few more: from 90s: NVE, Eddie Jones, Elden Campbell, Rick Fox, Cedric Ceballos, Ron Harper, Kareem Rush, Slava, Sasha Vujacic, Brian Cook (lol), Devean George (where's JSM?), Smush Parker (where's Kobe?), Jordan Farmar, Shannon Brown, Trevor Ariza...I can keep going.
Adam Morrison, went from being labeled a bust to a 2x champ....hell even most #1 picks can't say that
I looking forward to just recognizing our new players and being able to pick them out of a lineup. And as long as our cook doesn't do the stir the pot motion thing, I guess we'll be good.
