Am I the only one who does not see a contradiction between “LeBron wants to play pg” and “LeBron will have the ball in our system, we haven’t finalized lineups yet, and we don’t want LeBron doing something he’s not used to do doing”?

I mean sure he’s officially a SF but he’s always played like a PG. Putting him at PG would still mean we’d have two actual guards on the court for defense and 3s while LeBron exploits mismatches against traditional pgs on offense as both a creator and a scorer.

I mean I'm not expecting LeBron to look one iota different out there. He handles the ball. Difference will be having the best Bigs in his life to play with.

I know many expect him to get LeFired...but I can't help but think Coach Vogel is the right guy for this team. This guy is a basketball junkie if there ever was one and even though he's never had any huge accomplishments as a head coach, he knows the game inside and out. You can see that in any interview. He also seems to be concerned about everything - whether it be LeBron or the last man on the bench, offensive sets, defensive principles, team culture, etc. - which is such a refresher from Luke "ah we just didn't play good enough" Walton. That will count when it boils down to it and as the season goes on, he will gain more and more respect. Granted, some of those things may work better at the college level than the pros, but I'm excited to see him lead us.

Hope you’re right, but if the star players don’t like you, you’re gone.

I like the coaching staff. All three coaches have playoff experience. Both Hollins and Vogel have been to the conference finals, so they all know how to get a team to the playoffs. It’s already better than the last staff in just experience alone. None of them have had this roster, so they just need to get us to the playoffs, preferably with home court advantage in the 1st round at least and our players will do the rest.

Vogel may very well surprise us and be better than we are expecting him to be. A lot of it will have to do with Kidd and Hollins being there. Hopefully they can round out the staff with another experienced, hard nosed type of assistant.

But .... but ... not Ty Lue. Soooo sad. Enjoy never being a head coach in the NBA again. Enjoy watching Lakers these next 3 years on TV instead of coaching them. Didn't know we were getting all these guys didja?

I'm happy with our coaching staff, and I don't want phil at all (especially if his anti-logo rumors are true). But, I was just thinking how perfect this roster would be to run the triangle. Phil would have to relent to let his players launch 30+ 3pointers/game, as necessary for today's NBA.

Both AD and Cousins would be excellent in the post position in the Triangle.

I’m still concerned about Kidd being on the coaching staff. I just don’t think he brings much to the table. I see him trying to throw Vogel under the table any chance he gets.

I wish we could throw in a future pick and unload him on OKC, since they're in the pick acquisition business or NO since that's where ZO went and that was (reportedly) the entire reason behind the hire. There's plenty of former players ready to get into coaching (JT news came out this week) , even some former Lakers since that's big with a Jeanie (MWP).

FFS all you guys that bag on his hair, let him be. If he wants to shave it at some point he will. Not everyone likes or maybe looks good with a shaved head. How about the cats with lots of hair that choose hilarious ways to wear it?

    Leave Alex alone.

    Crying Britney dude
