Love this signing. We may have stumbled into our 3rd star.

He already has a chemistry with AD, but playing together this time around they won’t be dueling banjos. AD will be the lead dog. Never wish injury on a guy, but Boogie in 2019 is a unique pickup because he’s an overqualified role player who already knows how to play with AD. Big get.

Plan B is working out nicely. Adapt, adjust.

Boogie is the perfect signing. Cheap, all upside. If he stinks, who can blame us for giving it a shot at that price?

I think the “attitude” talk re DMC is vastly overstated. The 2016 Team USA guys loved him and said he was a great locker room presence. Plus he got along with AD. There’a No real reason to think he’ll be a problem here. He wants to play here.

Honestly think he will do will pretty well for us. When a player suffers a bad injury I like to think it takes a full year of health to really start getting back to where they were. He rushed back from both injuries last year for the Warriors, but now considering he is healthy he can just work on getting his strength/speed/game back rather than rehab.

Like I said earlier I don't think it has anything to do with him as a teammate it has everything to do with him being a hothead on the floor. He won't get away with it, not that he really does now, being in the PnG.

I can't believe he's here for $3.5M. I watched Warriors highlights of him and the only thing that stuck out was he didn't have much lift in his legs when he jumped but he still moved well on drives to the basket. Now imagine having that on the 2nd year after the injury. This is all upside and Rob did a great job getting him for that bargain of a price.

I'm on this Boogie bandwagon and I fully believe he's gonna beast with us this upcoming season.

Give him some time to heal in the offseason too. He’ll be better than last season for sure, and maybe he’ll resign.

Come in and prove that you deserve a max contract. This is the perfect opportunity to step up and show that you can still play like you did pre injury. Not a huge cousins fan, but he’s a laker so here we go. Hated Karl Malone, but still cheered for him, something I thought wouldn’t be possible pre-laker years.

I just hope Cousins does not get frustrated with the inconsistent minutes and ever revolving line-up changes... Oh wait, that is Sacramento now.

At worst Boogie is a better rebounding Brook Lopez. This was an absolute steal considering Brook signed for 4 yrs $52M.

And the upside is enormous. Boogie is still only 28 years old.

He's got the pretty big shoes from same draft class of Derrick Caracter to fill on the Lakers.

Oh, the value... thank you, Anthony Davis!

Now we just need Boogie healthy, so manage his minutes well and give McGee what he wanted. Everyone wins.

And  at “270lbs” in Boogie’s photo. Yeah, right. Drop some weight during the summer man, and you will be a beast again. Your legs and back will thank you. Talk to JaVale, see how he does it. He’s absolutely shredded.

To be fair, Lopez can get one or two more rebounds than a dead man...

Bargain steal, whether he's 40% or 80% of himself, money well spent. We weren't going to find a better big to split minutes with McGee.

We have quite a scary frontcourt to unleash. Minutes, quality coaching rotations, and load management should keep everyone happy and playing an impactful role.

There's enough veteran coaches and players around to help him maintain some composure.

The NOH reunion of Rondo, AD, and Boogie should be fun. Helps accelerate some of the learning curve.

    Fun thought.

In the past 2 seasons, Boogie played a combined 78 games (86 including this seasons playoffs). As we all know, he tore his Achilles and had to miss a year rehabbing within this time frame.

In the same 2 year timeframe, Lonzo Ball played 99 combined games. Lonzo played 13 more games over the past 2 years, and that was because he had minor knee surgery and a twisted ankle within this timeframe.

Availability should be considered an ability, I’m confident this year Boogie will continue to progress and recover further from the Achilles... and we don’t have to deal with an obnoxious dad lol.

Cousins is the X factor. If he returns to form, Lakers will be extremely dominate.

I honestly can't get over what a steal this is. I hope we find a way to keep him, really I do. This man, coming off a torn Achilles, averaged 16/8/5 with more than a steal and a block per game. His defensive numbers were the best of his career and his advanced numbers were some of the best of his career as well.

All he needs to do is improve his outside shooting more to his career average and he could honestly be our third star. He's only 28 years old. Teams are going to have a HARD time coming near the paint on us.
