    That’s why I said “Clippers curse will strike” pages back and Kawhi’s leg injury will flair up. The Clippers are good, but they aren’t deep, load management in the West is going to be difficult, it is loaded.

    Lakers are most shocked by how easily the Thunder gave up Paul George. They figured they could have forced him to play out the next year to avoid getting strong armed, or at least have traded him to another team to get a good player back and stay competitive.

    I guess by literal body count. It’s not far off if we can lure the best of the leftovers here though. Kawhi, PG, Beverly, Lou, Harrell, Harkless, McGruder, Shamet, Zubac. Not exactly amazing. We have LeBron, AD, Kuz, Green, McGee, KCP, Daniels, Dudley, probably Caruso. Not a runaway difference, to me anyway.

    The odd part that Lakers FO officials are scratching their head about is not that they traded Paul George, but that they did it on his timeline. Especially so that a player not even associated with the organization could ultimately get his wish.

    Paul George is a bigger snake than KD, honestly. Also mad at Sam Presti and how he just rolled over for the Clippers.

    It was probably part of the contract renegotiations. That if he signed back and wanted to be traded to a specific team they would honour that request, which they’ve done. Doubt Westbrook is actually going to be on that team for too much longer in all honesty.
