I've let this news and shock sink in a little and a few things:

    1) Kawhi wanted his own team and did not want to play second fiddle to Lebron, no matter what Bron promised. We picked up Danny Green and we're resigning Javale and KCP. It's a start y'all. If we can get Iggy and Korver, we've got a solid slew of vets.
    2) The way this thing all played was totally calculated - Jerry West is the savviest business exec AKA cutthroat snake and don't think for a second, they didn't drag this out on purpose so that the Lakers would miss out on free agency. West will forever be salty that the Lakers chose Phil over him. I can't blame the Lakers for waiting this out for a chance to sign Kawhi, but I think they'll approach FA different in the future especially when a Western Conference opponent is involved.
    3) Amid all this craziness we all kinda forgot we've got AD - that's the guy we wanted all season long and as of tomorrow he'll be wearing the purp and gold. Thank you Jesus.
    4) It's time for Kuz to really take a step and prove that he can be that third player in the Big Three - Kuz has mad upside and if he can improve on defense, we're gonna make some serious noise.
    5) Poor Russ, can't even imagine what he's thinking, but if we all thought he played mad before, just imagine what he'll be like this year. Kendrick Perkins seems to think OKC is doing a complete rebuild -- I know the money will never work, but what if he demanded a trade? Maybe he's on a mission now to destroy LAC lol???
    6) How dumb does Jalen Rose look?
    7) I'll finally get to sleep soundly tonight. Life goes back to normal again!! It was fun going through this with all of you!

Let's go Lakers!! The Clippers can suck it!!!

    Look at it this way...

In San Antonio, with one of the most legendary coaches ever. A dude, any player in the NBA would be happy to play for... Kawhi was drama. Anyone here believe Pop didn't know how good he was? He didn't send him to Toronto, to get him out of the conference. He sent him there, as a middle finger.

While the drama wasn't as much in Toronto... does anyone feel he had any loyalty to that team, whatsoever... at any time during the season? He played them, as well. I'd have very mixed emotions, as a Raptors fan. They're going straight back in the toilet.

Free agency? Takes meetings with his childhood dream team, the team his family all admires. His legacy can be cemented, jersey in the rafters, Purple and Gold.

But, what's he do? Drama. This wasn't indecision. This was straight up, screwing the Lakers over.

It stings right now... but, eventually I know, I'm going to be happy he's someone else's problem.

OKC? Wow... Just wow. That GM should be taken out back, and shot.

You can’t put this on Kawhi. It was our dumb front office that put all our eggs in his basket. It’s not his fault all the eggs were crushed.

JERRY WEST WANTED TO COME BACK TO HIS LAKERS ! OUR STUPID OWNER TURNED HIM DOWN BECAUSE HE WASN'T COOL WITH THE GUY WHO USED TO BANG HER

Floppers will win the title barring injuries .

why are people blaming the lakers FO for this? yes, the FO is not in tip-top shape right now but its so obvious kawhi was scheming with the clips all along. why else did this thing drag on for a week? you guys think he was sitting alone in his room pondering where to play?

he was waiting to see if the clips could land PG. our FO did nothing wrong

I don’t agree with the last line. I think the Jazz are better than the Clippers, maybe even the Blazers and Nuggets too, and I still think we’re better than them if we fill out the roster with solid signings too.

Disappointed a club this historic that's generally treated it's franchise/star players so well took so much risk on this guy. There wasn't a lot of great talent out there but we definitely missed options waiting on him and that was a mistake with A.D. and an elderly Lebron needing a supporting cast.

We didn't need a weirdo, we needed young talent and multiple players.. but what's done is done. Just surprising. Jebaited big time.

Lakers were used for leverage, no doubt. Highly doubt the Magic stuff was really an issue - he was waiting for the Clippers to go after PG the whole time. If they missed out? Maybe we would've signed him. But I don't think the Lakers did anything wrong, that's for sure. If you have a chance to go after a guy like that, you take it.

The Jazz added Conley, Bogdanovic, Ed Davis, Jeff Green, and Mudiay to Mitchell, Gobert, and Ingles, they had an excellent offseason, they are very deep.

I can be mad at all of them.

That being said, the future worries me. Sure, we will do great this year but then what? Lebron will age and I assume Davis will resign but we still have arguably the second worst ownership in the NBA. Success starts at the top. When is the last time an NBA team won a ring with s*** ownership?

We got cocky thinking “why would he seriously turn us down?” we’re the Lakers, not realizing we have a rookie GM and a front office in shambles leadership wise going up against a GM who just won a championship and Jerry freaking West. If we honestly thought we were gonna come out on top we were sadly mistaken. I’m happy it’s over, but I wish we had just taken our name out completely from the Kawhi sweepstakes and built the team around AD, Lebron, and Kuz as soon as the moratorium period began.
