I like what I like lol I have been a basketball fan my entire life and we are in a day and age where people follow players more than teams. That's not to say it's everybody or even most of them but the numbers are increasing.

I'd assume that is the start of FA signing period, not when the AD trade was scheduled to happen

Based on the order we needed to execute the trade, with signing FAs to use our cap space before executing the AD trade, I don't see how the Lakers would ever have put that specific time as when to trigger the AD deal.

 

I've seen many arguments on Twitter this last week as to how Kawhi joining Los Angeles will ruin the NBA yet golden state was a formidable super team and the NBA has been the best it's ever been. I didn't like them or root for them but that's because I would like Lebron to get some more chips. Don't get me wrong I liked the players and still do individually like Durant, Curry, Klay and everybody but I don't think they ruined the league per say.
This will be a top heavy team we can't act like that isn't reality, but that doesn't mean they won't be the favorites because this will be the most formidable trio of players ever assembled on one team. I don't think it ruins the league lol I think under these circumstances it's way more interesting if he joins Los Angeles. I ran a simulation in NBA2K and made it as realistic as I could with minimum vets and everything, and I did it 3 times. Each time they won more than 60 games and won the chip, with Lebron averaging double digit assists.

I’m with you about being a LeBron fan first! This forum and the people here could easily have me becoming a true Lakers fan by the end of the season though. I’ve always been kind of undecided between the 3 places I lived (Bulls, Lakers, Hawks).

The people here won’t hate you for it. It’s a good place to hang as a LBJ fan.

and one has to wonder after a 4, 5, 6 day delay if Leonard is intentionally stalling to reduced the limited number of free agents from the Laker pool. Think about it. Every day Kawhi sits on his hands, hurts the Lakers (as far as available free agents) and actually help the Raptors. So if Leonard signs with Toronto he not only hurts the Lakers, but he substantially reduces the few remaining free agents they can pick from.
