    AEG continues to stay close to New Balance and grow their relationship, especially as the Lakers Front Office has been unable to provide updates on Kawhi Leonard.

    Hey Mr Rambis,

    I am new here. Thank you for keeping Lakers nation up-to-date. In general, is there confidence from AEG that Kawhi will sign with the Lakers? How about New Balance? Are they really completely out of the loop on what he is leaning towards?

    @moezein92 The Lakers themselves have expressed confidence. I believe some members of the media have echoed this sentiment too. AEG at this point, for all intents and purposes, is mostly out of the loop.

    I could be just be naive, but I would think all business parties involved would like this done before the holiday. Now if Kawhi actually does that is another story...

    Safe to say which ever way the pendulum wings tomorrow morning with the news of how that meeting went will foreshadow what kind of decision Kawhi is likely to make. New Balance I'm assuming wants to get their promotions and things ready for whatever city Kawhi is leaning toward because I'm assuming Kawhi will share where his head is at.

    Now we know why Kawhi only wanted a meeting with Magic and Jeanie. He wanted the New Balance aspect of his decision to be a separate meeting. He didn’t want the decision to be weighed solely on the money from New Balance and really wanted to have his concerns about his status and the front office having it’s sh** together being addressed so he can make the best decision for himself both on and off the court.

    I’m assuming this meeting will involve not only New Balance, but also AEG, and they will give him the numbers breakdown on how Kawhi’s shoe deal projects out earnings wise over the next 4 years depending on if he signs with the Lakers, Clippers, or Raptors. So he can see the monetary impact of his decision for his off the court earning potential.
