I just can't see Kawhi in a Clippers jersey.

That would be like living in Bizarro world.

Check the edit though. Jordan put her back down in a second. :D

Nice, shame I couldn’t see her face in response to that. At this point I’m just going to assume Balmer furnished Ramona’s home with the most lavish nursery known to humankind and hired her a private chef to cook all her baby’s meals and nanny that dressed and acts like Mary Poppins.

The Clips should gift her a throwback “Buffalo” Braves jersey, cut from a parasol :D:rofl::giggle: for her undying allegiance to Balmer.

Oh, I view it as a good sign too. I just thought it was funny that we normally never see this with free agents and teams especially with someone so important like Kawhi Leonard

So the interesting part of that interview to me was at the end. Jordan Schultz was asked in his opinion what makes the most sense (by Steve Mason) and Schultz responded with "the Lakers seem to be the front runner, but it's hard to say. In my opinion the Clippers make the most sense. What do you think Ramona?"

She responded with "...... It depends on who I ask." Then she went into how you'd think based on what we all know about Kawhi that he wouldn't be interested in the circus around the Lakers and LeBron and getting AD... and that two weeks ago she laughed at the idea that the Lakers would even be considered... but why would he go so far down this road if he wasn't actually thinking about it?"

Everything about it was interesting to me. Jordan's measured response. The ease with which Ramona sank into that story. Jordan even said that maybe Kawhi winning changed the way he feels about wanting to join a super team.

It's really almost as if these people all forgot that Kawhi demanded a trade to Los Angeles a year ago and specifically said he'd prefer the Lakers. Cris Carter is the only one saying that.

@therealdeal The media narrative was forced to shift. When things were speculation based, they could promote their pro-Clipper agenda. But as rumblings of Kawhi's interest increased and especially when Magic spilled the beans to the LA Times, reporters could not ignore the facts.

No the nanny has to dress up like their mascot Chuck the condor and scare the kid to death.

I certainly understand that, but there was something weird about the way Schultz responded to Ramona. It was, and this is full tinfoil hat time, like they both knew they were supposed to say something, but couldn't.

Danny Green is the next key sign we should be looking at (unless Kawhi goes 1st)

If Raps bring him back for decent money, seems like they got Kawhi

If LAC brings him in for decent money, they may be out Kawhi race. OR they can ship away Gallo to the mavs, but they lose their 2nd-3rd best guy for next season. So if they bring in DG, likely losing out on Kawhi

If we bring in DG for anything above the room, we have thrown in the towel.

Just some verbal gymnastics to cover their a**** regardless of what happens so they can say “I told you so and here’s why I was right...”. No commitment to an opinion. Par for the course.

Has Michael Rapaport had any follow up to his twitter Tirade yesterday claiming Kawhi was a Laker..?

We have officially reached the "Jonesing for Michael Rappaport Free Agency Breaking News Updates" at the 48-hour mark of Kawhi Watch 2019. I'm surprised it took this long.

Well he did come off as being pretty adamant that it was a "done deal". I haven't seen any follow ups from him besides showing the original Ricky Davis clip where he stated that Kawhi had already signed. Just curious if anyone had asked him to clarify his comments...?

Am told that in light of the uncertainty, AEG reached out to New Balance marketing execs today. While their preference is for Kawhi to sign with the Lakers from a brand awareness perspective, they have no additional insight on his decision. Collective belief among execs from both orgs is that while the Lakers are most likely his top choice based on his positive reactions to conversations with folks related to and within the Lakers org, no final decision has been made on his end.
