If you’re talking about those two, the one season Lebron doesn’t have a running mate he gets “injured” and the Lakers don’t make the playoffs. Oddly we win the lottery and becomes a crucial piece in the AD trade.

AD hasn’t played with a caliber player like Lebron, ever. That’ll do wonders on his longevity whether it’s facing less doubles, not having to exert as much, or play less minutes.

Then you add Kawhi to that equation, magnified.

Lonzo's shooting woes are in his head AND his mechanics.

I think he will struggle with both his entire career. He might re-make his shot but there are no guarantees that he can overcome his FT issues..

How many NBA players do you know that shoot 40% from the line and suddenly go to 70-80%? I don't know any.

He might have a few seasons in the high 50s or low 60s...but thats about his ceiling. Given his horrible shot mechanics, he has limitations that you can't overcome just by improved confidence.

AD being both one of the best playoff performers in the league AND that thirsty for a ring is a lethal combination come May/June. I've debated with people about this where they say he didn't play enough playoff games to have a true representative sample size, but they fail to acknowledge that AD was doin it balling out against the best team in the league and one of the best individual PF/C defenders in Draymond.

didn't deandre jordan do this last year? or something close?

but yeah, saying that problem is in his head doesn't really make you feel better about it. it's not like that's an easy fix.

^you are right. DJ went to 70% which is a very significant increase from his career average of 46%. It still remains to be seen whether thats his new norm or whether he regresses back to the mean.

Still he is a 7 footer who isn't supposed to be any good. For a PG to shoot 41% is absolutely embarrassing, honestly. It actually should be for any pro NBA player, regardless. Its not acceptable, I don't even care about the reason.

If Kawhi does not choose the Lakers, then ALL HAIL ANTHONY DAVIS!

He said he wanted to come to the Lakers, he asked to be traded to the Lakers and he came to the Lakers.

This would be quite a different scenario than Paul George, who grew up watching the Lakers and wanting to be on the Lakers only to crap on the Lakers when it came to choose.

This would be quite a different scenario than Kawhi Leonard, who grew up watching the Lakers and wanting to be on the Lakers only to crap on the Lakers when it came to choose.

If it is no Kawhi? If we get crapped on by a LA-loving FA again?

We have AD, who stayed true to his word.

I think plan B is going to HAVE to be that...I don't see anyone on the market worth giving a multi-year deal to. I can see us going the 1-year route again and going for it at trade deadline or next summer we go at it again. But who is even available next summer that's worth going after?

I guess we just gotta hold out hope that somebody that signed last summer or this summer wants out this year and forces their way here...

I'm looking at you, Paul George. Come on home to the Lakers

I'll take it a step further, f*** him.
We created a perfect scenario, all he had to do was show up. He decided to party with Donatello, let them have fun.

Guys..don't be stubborn. If you had a shot to pair PG13 with LeBron and AD, you do it in a heartbeat. We're talking about a guy that finish 3rd in MVP voting last year

Put your feelings aside on that....if we can nab him for expiring contracts and spare Kuzma..you do it 10 times over.

You gotta hope the Thunder get off to a slow start again for this to even gain steam. December 15th will be interesting once again.
