This is fantastic, he’s been hinting at it for a while, but I’m glad to see it’s happening, they’re really shaping this staff up nicely. Well, maybe, maybe not, considering our current roster only includes LeBron, AD, Kuz, THT, and maybe Caruso and Willams. We emptied the whole damn cupboard
What ever happened to hiring Ron Adams? The latest article I can find on the topic talks about Kerr being confident he stays in Golden State. He'd be a nice addition to have in place before the pitch to Kawhi.
Frank Vogel is going to show up to work the first day with Lebron James, Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard and Kyle Kuzma staring back at him. That's so much talent, he probably won't feel the least bit of pressure as he can't possibly screw it up.
Wow props! A real inside scoop. For the LB record wall we need verification with time stamps here vs public tweets . Gumby (Trevor Ariza's agent) was the real deal (no relation to @therealdeal ) Not sure who else we might have had that was ever verified on some breaking news. Maybe @D-Fish Man but he's maintaining media silence. Very cool! @SeasonVet24
The Lakers probably are getting other ducks in a row, this sort of news (and maybe hopefully Ron Adams) will come after we've landed the big fish.
@Cookie and @therealdeal, that's likely. I would've done it differently though. I'd announce every staff addition that improves the team before free agency. Anything I could do to make the team more attractive to prospects, I do it. Would that have any weight in Kawhi's decision? Absolutely not. But just a tiny piece of polishing up your product. And of course they could've told the FAs about these guys during the meetings. But there's so much other stuff to cover, I highly doubt that hey, we got Lethal Shooter and Ron Adams joining the team, too would come up at any point.
I forgot where I saw it but its a Klutch connection all but confirmed it. He's joining the Lakers. I think it may have even been @SeasonVet24 who gave us the news where what he heard from his friend if I'm not mistaken that works with Klutch
In light of all that’s happened, I’m even more happy we have Vogel. Let’s surround this guy with some competent defenders.
Pelinka has given Vogel a lot of tools to work with ... but maybe a bit too much? Feel like Vogel is going to have his hands full managing the rotations and keeping everyone happy. Specifically in the back court. Lebron, Rondo, Caruso, Cook, Daniels, Bradley, Pope. That’s a lot of guys who can only play 1 or 2 (with Bron as the obvious exception), with only so many minutes to go around.
