The first thing I’d have done is change the name, and 2nd was move the team.

So how in the world does an intelligent man like Ballmer view this activity as pro-Kawhi? Clearly Kawhi's camp is aware of where such rumors are generated if not by themselves. The idea is to win over Kawhi, not the public and anyone who thinks those two are one and the same seem to be highly ignorant of Kawhi's personality. Maybe this is why reports are the Lakers feel so good about our chances. It may have been communicated to us that the Clip's methods are not considered admirable.

@Alcindor It's one part of his plan to generate as much media buzz for the Clippers as possible, especially since they don't traditionally get nearly this much media coverage around free agency. The Lakers and AEG figured this out a while back when I first posted it, and that's why they have felt the business side of the coin will help them win over Kawhi.

Slowly you'll see most reporters turn, as while Ballmer can negotiate with them for positive coverage, at some point they have to report the facts when it becomes undeniable.

Kawhi is going to be a Laker. How is he going to say no to AD and him owning this league for a decade? Lebron's contract ends in 3 years. He and AD will be 29 and 30 years old. He will have at least 2 more titles before then and then have another 5 years of title contention to add more and Lakers go after another star to join him, AD and Kuz.

Kawhi has to be a Laker.

Unlike Shaq and Kobe they could play as you say for a decade with no egos blowing it up years too early. It would seem from what we know of them. AD hasn't hit his prime yet LOL. He's working on his handles they showed in one clip at the Lakers facility, and in that LFR clip the Shamgod move was amazing. I had never seen one and needed the slo mo to see what the hell happened there. :D

Plan A: Kawhi Leonard + vet minimums + UDFAs + ring chasers

    Plan B: D'Angelo Russell ($20M) + split 12M for Lopez + Seth Curry + vet minimums

Plan C: Use 32M on solid fit pieces

I honestly think Kawhi has 5 year contention window. In 5 years he will be 33, and he has never been the healthiest. For that matter neither has AD. This next contract is their prime years where they can rule the league for the next 3-5 years. After that all bets are off for such injury prone players.

Even for not injury prone players, that’s a long time to be going deep in the playoffs year after year. Just look at golden state. They were all 26-28 when KD joined, and now it’s looking like the title window of league wide domination is over for them.

Woj on the likelihood of him having a relationship with a female human being at this point: "doesn’t think there’s any traction"

Him signing with us = bye bye C Bags. Man can become a Lakers legend just like that. Please Kawhi, do the right thing, join Bron and AD and wreck havoc.
