Warriors win if healthy...so that should tell y'all depth does have an impact to get our LAK'r big3 through the rigmorale of the regular season.

If you're investing in those 3, it's about rings. You gotta make sure you don't over extend then in the regular season. Having them suit up a minimum of 16 games from April to June is the goal. Not no 82 games played.

Kuz also helps with the load management BTW. He's a legit scorer and can carry some of the load of the regular season to spell minutes for these guys. There's a good reason we hung onto him.

Out of all the young guys he fit best as a do it all cleanup guy that finds those in between buckets. His feel for cutting at the right time is incredible

Thank God. Those Clippers ones were cringe-worthy and definitely representative of their fan-base. They try to be all intellectual and smart but they are just awkward and weird.

Those are not from the Lakers which I think is a pretty important point. Mobilewash advertises on the Laker radio network, but they're not an official sponsor that I know of.

Pretty impressive that a company would just take that ad out as fans.

LeBron is a walking ad for the Lakers anyway.

This has been the narrative now for like one day and I’m sick of it already. “3rd wheel”, “weak move” get outta here with that Laker hating bull****, this wouldn’t even be comparable to KD joining a 73 win Warriors team, we literally have 4 players under contract right now. F*** Woj and his clearly anti-Lakers agenda, everything he says about us is tinged with negativity. Still a little short of a max deal to offer, Kawhi would be a 3rd wheel, gtfo here with that.

Perhaps the main takeaway from all this for Ballmer is to not overestimate the influence Woj or ESPON has on the NBA players. It's just weird how much ESPN has been caught with their pants down in this whole Kawhi free agency. It's not like they don't have access to Twitter or the resources to track these twitter folks down themselves.

This summer (and really a few summers) have really been a struggle of player empowerment vs. the established structures. I think part of the Ballmer schmoozing the media narrative falls under the old methods of players being swayed by what they hear out there. The hope is that behind closed doors, on private phone conversations, etc. the players are quietly taking power back for themselves and setting up their own teams and narratives.

All this "superteam" stuff is honestly nonsense. Philadelphia can quietly assemble a starting five of Ben Simmons, JJ Reddick, Jimmy Butler, Al Horford, and Joel Embiid. Is that a superteam? The Warriors have been CELEBRATED as a dynasty and they formed a super super team. These media guys s*** on superteams, but they secretly want them. They secretly want there to be constant stories about them.

Maybe the first time I can recall agreeing with Broussard on something. Keep the Rambii out of the meeting, don’t make the same lame pitch you did to Melo, Aldridge, etc, have LeBron and AD in that room.

i'm not worried about the FO making a bad pitch like they did with past FA's. out of touch mitch and jim buss were the ones leading those meetings and all they'd do was point to all the banners and retired numbers

pelinka is actually in touch with today's stars. and i'm certain lebron would be at the meeting

Replace Magic with Kobe and I'm in. I'm sorry, Magic may be my favorite person ever, but he's on time-out right now after everything he pulled this season, and he has no standing to tell Kawhi about Lakers loyalty, etc. Frankly, I don't even want Rob, or AEG, or any of those people in the meeting. Hold it at LeBron's house, and keep the suits as far away from it as possible.

No doubt.. he's worth what half a billion already as well? That has a lot of influence on the other cats who surround him, especially legit star types who can really benefit from playing well/winning along side him.

Be a no brainer to join the Lakers if he wants all the sponsors/deals he can handle. just the merch alone has to easily outweight the few mill less he'd take to sign on.

Have Kawhi meet with Kobe and LeBron. Uncle Dennis can meet with AEG in the back yard. :D
