And this just reaffirms what I've known all along and all these other media outlets have been crying wolf. All paid off by Ballmer.

The Athletic is slowly earning my respect. Great writers, Shams is the new Woj (broke Conley trade 2 hours before the old fart), and unbiased writing.

It also went down for GAME 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals, couldn’t even go through that insane game and celebrate the victory with my Laker family. I’m glad for CL mostly because it led to this place, but I’d never want to go back, it was so out of date compared to this place.

Great times, so hyped when we got Gasol and CL was down, game 7 as well.

One of the things I loved from that site was the huge All time draft with detailed matchups with votes on who would win, amazing.

No, that was a lie on the owner of CL’s part, as was typical. All he did was put unban Lakerswiz and put him in charge, after he told him he’d fix the site for him. It was shut down like a month later lol. This site was started by Barns before CL went down for good because he could see it coming and wanted to make a better site than CL and make sure everyone from there could get here before that happened and we all lost the ability to even communicate with eachother.

Lakerwiz is alive and well by the way. Spreading his insufferable style of mocking superiority on Reddit. Glad to know he's the same.

Well the good thing about CL was, if you tried to log in and couldn't and if trade rumors were swirling, you KNEW something major went down and it favored the Lakers. It made you super excited waiting to log in!

For weeks with the AD thing, I was crossing my fingers that Lakersball crashed. LOL. Never did crash....kinda takes the excitement out of it.

    Every Time...I swear.

Your member critique agenda to protect your personal "time" in debating the content of a member's post is showing.

Try spending time on my post content and refute anything in there. I welcome it.

Until then, I've made "obvious" fun of Magic, criticized him just the same as Rob's knife wielding skills aIong with applauding Rob for some of his cap/player relations strategy... Or have you forgotten?

Deng buyout when no other bad contract gave back as much money
Dumping Mozgov for the space to get Bron
Allowing Jules to depart instead of holding him hostage
Allowing Zu to remain in LA instead of sending him to an undesirable location
Dumping JC and sending Nance home while still getting a first round pick in a climate when they were a premium and creating space for a 2nd max along with Jules's RFA caphold

I've given Rob his dues. I liked the cap space approach as long as we get a star to occupy it... otherwise what's the point? I'm stoked we got AD, but why bungle up our cap in the process and why use extra assets to clean it up? Our package is strong enough to have this deal be done in August, yet everybody is saying the deal will be official in July. So at the very least, the 4th pick will not be aggregated and that's a poor way of using that asset if cap space is valuable to your end game.

Seriously why can't you spend time talking hoops with me and discussing my cap numbers (actually, let's not discuss numbers), rather than talking of my agendas. I ain't the media bro.
