our waiver pickups will be better than most teams big FA signings, tbh.

cute that the knicks tried to recruit davis for next year already.

the overpay stuff is hilarious. given what we had, you basically can't overpay.

and the within-article flip-flopping has to stop: if we have three maxes--no depth! if we don't--not enough cap to improve! uh, we've got a minimum of 23 million + 5 million for the exception, then vet mins. we can fill out a roster.

just not like last year, plz.

edit: btw, horford's folks say he has a 4/100 deal on the table, and lakers were listed as possible destination...

    Agreed.

For all the craziness, chaos, and missteps along the way, we're about to have a pretty good team that will be right there competing for a title. That's got to upset a lot of these rival organizations particularly the Spurs who tried to sink us at every turn.

and boston whose treasure trove is about have yielded bupkus.

and ny, who was (perhaps not stupidly) hoping we were about to replace them.

Literally any other team that got a top 5/10 guy like Davis for two injured guys who have been inconsistent to say the least and bunch of likely mid to late first round picks would be getting praised all day.

The hypocrisy is just over the top with this one.

Today with Stephen A and Nick Wright were the first times I've heard anyone truly call Ainge for dropping the ball.

Nets are in a better position than Boston. That's insane.

It’s hilarious how the narrative has changed instantly from:

    - All our assets are garbage

    To:

    - THE LAKERS GOT ROBBED TRADING ALL THAT GENERATIONAL TALENT FOR AD?? HAHAHAHA FOOOLS!!

What’s also funny is that literally all of Lakers twitter predicted it would happen days, if not a week before the trade actually went down.

My friends are almost all C bag fans. Two weeks ago they were getting AD and we had LeBron just crippling the franchise. Fast forward to now and not only did we overpay, but there's no way we can get a real team together.

It's just hate. Ainge had the ability to get Kawhi last year. He could have had AD as well. He's just a super overrated GM who has balls to trade FOR assets, but he doesn't have the stones to relinquish them and put a plan to place.

    He might have some skills.

    :LLLLLebronlaughing::Laugh:

It's why I have my son practice ball handling so much and why his private workout sessions with his coach focus so much on handles. It's super important! My 13 year old son is now 6' 1.5" and growing (size 14 shoe; hands bigger than mine) and can already shoot. Doc thinks he will be anywhere from 6'7" to 6'10". Gotta have those handles to make the dough!

    A DarthRekal sighting!

Actually it's a rich Laker fan's private gym located somewhere in LA. That's not the Lakers practice facility.

I feel like AD could honestly play SF if he really wanted to. If I'm not mistaken he grew up playing point guard until his final season in high school. A 6'11" SF with that much skill would be amazing. He'll just have to cook up all the 4s at the PF spot, I guess.

AD was 6'2" PG I believe at the end of his sophomore season in HS. He was lightly recruited until he hit a major growth spurt to 6'10". See graphic below...
