No Dummy. You're confusing that news to be important with sirron as reported yesterday having "transitioned" and now taking the necessary hormones.

As of now, Rich Paul has not agreed to waive the trade kicker. He needs an objective reason for Anthony to forgo the ~$4MM he's owed there. Lakers internally are not concerned, as they know if they line up some solid free agents that will likely not be an issue for Anthony, who came here to win. But, he's not going to sacrifice the money just to save the Lakers on a tax bill.

    Regards,
    Mr. Rambis

Any idea if the Lakers expect to get the $32mil post july 30 or the $23 mil July 6? If it’s the later, do they hope to convince a max FA to take the $23 or do they know they’ll need to break that up on 2-3 lesser players?

Just to save the Lakers on a tax bill .... no of course not. But if the difference between bringing Kawhi in or not then maybe? Or Butler or Kyrie or Kemba. That's what we're all concerned with.

@LTLakerFan if that is the case then most likely he will waive the kicker. Remember the trade hasn't yet been executed so Rich Paul and Anthony Davis will likely know who the Lakers are getting in free agency before they make that decision. Anthony Davis came here to win so he will not sabotage his chances at doing so unnecessarily.

@Punk-101 It's still unclear, and likely depends what happens with the 4th pick. Pelicans are fine to wait as far as I understand, but if the pick is gone then we will have to negotiate with another team on that front. If it is the latter scenario, they can potentially try to free up some more cap as well, so all hope is not lost for a max FA.

    What's Rich up to?

This report feels like Klutch reached out to McMenamin to get some buzz going on the Pels picking Garland at 4.

The Lakers scouting team could obviously share their intel on the private practice they had.

Dude's a Klutch klient and can grease this deal to occur in August. He got shut down due to a meniscus injury...so f*** playing in summer league. Take that extra month to recover.

So maybe Zo is being dangled by Griff instead of the 4th pick.

New Orleans trades my boy Lonzo and they will never even make the playoffs I'm telling you. Zion be nothing without Lonzo getting him the ball where he need it.

Soon to be "Cleveland /insert other team our plan from the start."

He works with a ball handling coach that I follow on IG called dribble2much or handlelife. Funny enough, the workouts were in LA at a private gym that was decked out like Lakers Staples.

F LaVar, soooooo glad he is not associated with the Lakers anymore. PLEASE Lakers, do not draft another Ball brother. They are NOT worth the antics of their father.

I really do think Rich and Griff are colloborating in trying to get max value for the 4th, using Garland as the carrot...

I'm sure Garland would prefer big market like NY or Chicago, but if that 4th is moved, look for the AD trade to eventually become a 3/multi team deal. I'm looking at Chicago and those Lavine/7 rumors. Minny is probably in there for Wiggins. And the only way Boston climbs up that high is with Jaylen Brown and 2 of the 3 picks (14, 20, 22).

Much is made about summer league and wanting to see these kids play in them, but any player chosen in the top 5 (Ja's knee and Garland's meniscus) will probably lean toward rehab and getting right before the regular season starts rather than suiting up for summer league.
