The extra pick PLUS pick swaps through 2025, as a LaVar tax? No way, Zo is clearly valued higher than that, the media has been saying “can’t wait to see Zo and Zion on the break next season” since this went down. I’m still not convinced this doesn’t happen after July 30th in the end.

The thing I like least about the trade is losing Ingram. I just got his jersey last week

    :LLLLLebronsniveling:

But it was cheap at Ross, so whatever. The choices were BI and Lonzo (got BI cuz why waste money on a Ball jersey)

    :Lonzoreally:

Glad we kept Kuz. Glad Ball and his clowndad are gone.

The cost was reportedly Jamal Murray having to be included.

Not literally, but in reality basically. They have a cap hold on him for 18m, if they want to get rid of him they pay him out 1m and that frees up the other 17. So there is no option. But they might try to use him as an expiring and trade for more help. They could potentially put together a few pieces and go for a disgruntled star. A package built around a first round pick, Ilyasova (7m) and George Hill (18m) with one of Bledsoe (15.6m) and Tony Snell (11.4m) can bring you back a max player and give cap relief to other team when they buy out George Hill. CP3 is a potential here, so is Beal & Conley.

Depending on how things play out, I can still see Brogdon being available for that $18m mark.

I agree with everything you just said.

    :Beertoast2:
AD traded on July 6th w/o trade kicker: Pels got 19m in cap space and get a 9m trade exception, which makes their cap space 10m if they keep the exception and do not renounce it.

AD traded on July 6th w/ trade kicker:
Pels got 19m in cap space and get a 13m trade exception, with truth into 6m in cap space without renouncing the TPE.

AD traded in August w/o trade kicker:
Pels got 19m in cap space and 2m in a trade exception, leading to 17m in cap if they don't renounce it.

AD traded in August w/ trade kicker:
Pels got 19m cap space and 6.1m a trade exception, leading to about 13m in cap if they don't renounce the TPE.

So as you can see, Pels gain no real benefit in waiting on the trade. They will get their cap space no matter what.

Yep, totally agree. BI is the only Laker since Kobe that I bought gear of. Maybe it will become a collector's item.

Unless it's a Kobe or Shaq, never buy anyone's gear. Besides, buy the gear but put your last name in the back. As I got older, kinda thought it was a little fuffy wearing another man's jersey.

It took them 6 years tho and even then, wevdon't really know if they achieved "recovery" yet cause they just pawned off another 2 1sts to get off of Crabbe's expiring to play the cap game.

If it takes us 6 years, then AD is 32 and we will have wasted a generous portion of his prime.

Get that 3rd max guy to "cap"itilize on that Klutch investment. I'd be shocked if Rob traded away all that draft capital without being given a grace period.

^1 1st (this yr was a pick swap) and prince is a solid player (arguable he could get a 1st on his own)

Someone once told me the rule of thumb is don’t wear jerseys of people younger than you. I wear Magic and D-Fish.

BI is still a stud, but AD is just better. It was the one trade for BI that you had to make.
