I honestly think that this group with a decent FA signing would easily be a top 2 or 3 team in the west. And when Bron is done, these young guys will be just about to hit their prime.

Will any of them be a top 5 player in the league? No. Will any of them be a top 5 at their position? I doubt it. And are you willing to risk those two on top of them being able to lure a FA here on their own? That's too much risk and too high of a gamble for my blood. I take the known over the risk and the if. We've spent too long in mediocrity. Also, maybe if we had a front office worth a s*** we don't. Milk Bron and Klutch for all they're worth before he retires and no one is left to counterbalance Jeanie, Rob, and the royal Rambis cluster f***. The more you take out of their hands, the better.

 

Or that their gear sucks and doesn't sell. Yes, that sounds about right.

woj hedging that hard makes me think it's happening. he's covered if a FA signs with us, because he can claim it's due to the AD deal. he's a salty nancy.

"Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN described the Los Angeles Lakers as the early leaders to land New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis.

During an appearance on SportsCenter, Wojnarowski said Davis "wants to sign with [the Lakers]" when he's eligible for free agency in 2020 and that "the rest of the league knows that."

He added the Pelicans would prefer to get a deal done as early as this weekend to invite prospects in for workouts ahead of the 2019 NBA draft on June 20.

Wojnarowski reported earlier in the day David Griffin, the Pelicans' executive vice president of basketball operations, had spoken with interested parties about what he's hoping to get from a Davis trade"
