Take your time Rob. At this point we'd only be trading against ourselves. AD is great, but if we have to include everything I'd rather ride with our young core that we already have invested all these years with. Some of them are about to really excel (looks at Ingram).

There's going to be a tax because 1) we're the Lakers and everyone hates and doesn't want to help us and 2) we're in the west with them

I don't buy this "everyone hates the Lakers" narrative. Even if there's some sort of envy over our past success, at the end of the day, every GM's job is to do whatever they feel is best for their team. I don't think for one second there's a GM in the league that would take a worse deal from another team just so they don't "help the Lakers".

All trades are viewed as mutually-beneficial by all parties as part of their very nature. The whole premise of "I don't want to help the Lakers" doesn't make sense anyway when viewed through that lens.

No, as much as I don’t want to give up everything for him, when a star like AD says he wants to be traded to your franchise, you do everything short of an insane package that could cripple you in the future to get him. AD was the MVP 2 seasons ago over Harden IMO, he’s that good. I like our core and would like to keep one or 2 of them, but I do want AD more in the end if it boils down to that. Like I’ve said big decisions are coming up with them too, Ingram will need to get paid after this season so he won’t be value on a rookie deal, same with Zo and Kuz after that, so the time is pretty much now to decide to roll with the kids or go all in with LeBron.

:wasntme: That evil Rich Paul at it again. Funny how no other agent seems to get this kind of pushback.

Good lord the media is really hyping up the Knicks package. Knox was trash, DSJ is meh, they're making Robinson out to be the second coming all of a sudden.

Robinson would be lucky to be even consider having a ceiling of...Clint Capela. And that's not even saying much.

If NOLA wants to be THAT petty and take that package. GOOD. They'll live with surrounding Zion with D level prospects and end up watching him walk away too. None of those players have any ceiling worth building around.

If we end up keeping our kids and signing Kemba/Butler instead, that's how it'll be. Come new CBA, we drop out of revenue sharing for poor faith from small market teams. They'll lose their teams by then.

Yeah and Pels fans/beat writers are starting to hype...drum roll please...the BROOKLYN NETS packages. Some of them are even assuming that DLO would be willing to do a S&T to the Pelicans because...Holiday? Zion? Yeah, DLO is going to do exactly that LOL

It is actually insane how many idiots exist in New Orleans....their fans don't deserve Zion. It makes me mad that he's going to be there...

All the Pelicans are doing is trying to build competitive tension... typical negotiating tactic. Everyone knows the Lakers have the most to offer so most of these things are misdirection to keep people guessing and building competitive tension. I really think the Lakers are in the driver's seat. It just depends how much we want to pony up to get it done.

They're taking a lesser deal just to not trade with us (plus to ship him East). Just watch...

Yeah. I think they are posturing to try and get as close to that huge deal we offered as they can.

All this for a guy that has never played over 75 games in his career. And his only played 75 games twice.

But, those 75 games are amazing and he is mentioned as a potential MVP from that body of work! But I hear ya... he needs to probably work on his body more. He seems still kinda weak sauce for a guy his size.

The nets have nothing to offer. Levert's injury history is scary, and then there's...oh wait...jarret Allen? I give up.
