Dammit, I had completely forgotten Kidd was on the staff. Now I’m mad again. Why the hell are there 3 days between every NBA Finals game now? It shouldn’t take a week to play 3 games, that’s insane.
My 2 cents on why Kidd was really hired... https://www.nba.com/article/2018/01...ys-jason-kidd-helped-him-grow-dominant-player Lebron does technically have a Player Option the same year Giannis becomes a UFA.
I don't think the front office is smart enough for any long plays like that (even though this particular one would be a bad one cause he's not a good coach). I think they just really like him and want him as coach but can't pull that trigger because of optics.
I think they are. The overpaying of KCP was a step in that direction. We got into Rich Paul's ear, which most likely lead us to Lebron. Now AD signing with Klutch, it's a whole backend process that seems to be the way to "bypass" tampering. Since we can't seem to convince top flight Free Agents anymore, this seems like one way for them to get there.
This is a move I can get behind. I don’t think Hollins would have been a good head coaching hire, but as an assistant, a guy with tons of experience like him, I’m all for it.
The hiring of Hollins was a Kurt Rambis move. Like I had stated earlier, he was pushing hard for Hollins for the head coaching position. Now that Rambis the layer between basketball operations and ownership executives, he has a lot of power and can dictate a number of things such as the coaching staff. Look for him to be pretty involved in things moving forward.
with Hollins on the staff too, this pretty much verifies everything Mr. Rambis has mentioned this far was legit, so kurt loved hollins, and rob/linda really wanted kidd as hc but they probably couldnt handle anymore bad press, so now paying kidd whatever theyre paying, they're in prime position to kick Vogel to the curb as soon as they get their chance
