I said this on Wednesday in the Magic thread regarding Jeanie There’s nothing wrong with Kuz having dinner with her or her being an owner invested in her players like that and caring for them. But I stand by what I said above, you can’t get too attached to guys that can be gone in a second, and you can’t let emotions for a player keep you from letting your GM don their job in improving the team.
yes there is, jeanie is an OBVIOUS moron. Rob is obvious unqualified gm, rambis obviously have some dirty vidoes/pics of jeanie
I see no point in us having to "throw in" Kuz when Ingram, Zo and #4 pick checks all the boxes for the Pels in what they'd want in return for AD. I hope we keep this guy...would be a great 6th man off the bench. O
Great experience for Kuzma and a great way for other good NBA players to get to know what Kuz is all about.
Kuz is my fav young Laker. I'd love to keep him over any of the other young guys. Even though I see BI potentially being a monster in this league and Ball (if he can stay healthy) as well. That being said, Kuz has the "It" factor for me. If we are trading for AD I hope this guy is not in it.
what the hell is this IT factor? bottom in the league in defensive metrics at his position and shot 29% from 3s last season
Well "It" for me is what he does on the court. I don't do the "metrics" like some of you guys. I have always trusted what I see in the game and around the game. It is the confidence to be in the situation. It is putting in the work because of his own work ethic. It is working to be better than the he was the year before and still working. It is what I like in my players cause talent don't mean sh** if you don't work. Give me a guy like Kuz any day of the week. The kid is a stud. Superstar? I don't think he is going to make Tier 1 player but who knows. In the end, its what I see of him on and off the court.
While I agree Kuz has the qualities you just described as "IT", my favorite young Laker Brandon does as well . A shame we will probably lose both.
I like BI and I think skill vs skill he is the best player on our team (considering age and potential that is) but from day 1 I just loved Kuz's heart, drive and desire to be not only great but a Lakers great. I'm not sold that BI has that kill switch yet. Again, this is splitting hairs cause I love some BI too.
