well, it was a year later than i thought, but... anyway, harden and dantoni are right, in terms of effectiveness at least. as the article states, pounding the ball reduces turnovers and transition opportunities for the opposition in general. huge boon to the defense, which you need when you employ harden and like to play tubby 6'4" guys at center. them being right doesn't absolve it from its status as a basketball abomination, however. and if the league officiated harden appropriately, it would be much less effective.
