Couldn't agree more, we'd be basically on our knees BEGGING them to take the best offer. Let Pelicants do what they think is best, I would still pkg that #4/one of the youth for a star like Beal

Keep the light on for him then in roster management and Cap flexibility after hopefully landing an A star in FA and hopefully it's Leonard. Up to AD then at the end of the season wherever he plays if he wants to come to the Lakers. We can't just force this ****.

I'd make the peaks call us after the mid season embarrassment.

Meanwhile, is be offering multiple assets for beal and other players of that talent level. Leave them to deal with lowballing ainge and empty cupboard knicks.

Ntilikina as a trade asset? Gtfoh

That mean's no Leonard and Davis and LeBron all together? We're giving up the dream now?

you can agree to a deal w/o sending in the paper works till you sign the max FA 1st, 100% when Clev had #1 with James going back to Clev, that #1 for Love was already done deal and everything else was just for show, Clev still made the #1 pick 1st and trade didn't go down till a few months after the draft.

Exactly. If they want to pretend like we don't have legit assets then let them. Enough of all these games and the media continuing to beat that drum that we are desperate for them.

If they want to keep overplaying their hand then fine. We don't have to play along though.

Leonard, Beal and James is a legit title contender IMO.

And keep in mind, the price tag for Beal should be less than Davis. You're keeping more of our young guys to go along with whatever other moves we make.

Honestly, we should start greasing calls for all players around the league. If NOLA doesn't want any part of it, we'll find suitors for our assets, and they'll be left with scraps because no one's gonna want to trade for a rental anyway. It'll force their hand because they won't find anything close to what we can offer.

Well, OKC traded for what was supposed to be a 1 year rental, and that worked out ok. Might work out for Toronto as wee, we'll see.

I'm honestly sick and tired of hearing about AD.

We just got the 4th pick....jumped up SEVEN fricking spots...and we still got talking heads saying that our package isn't good enough and Pelicans are still not interested?

Ok cool...we'll move onto something else. AD will cost too much anyway...would rather get someone like Beal instead for the 4th pick and Ingram.

We can still sign Kawhi as well. Lebron/Kawhi/Beal/Ball. Have fun with that league.

I don't understand the Beal angle.

First of all dude is eligible for a supermax deal this summer if he makes an All-nba team. Let's see if he passes that up or the Wiz don't pay it to him to grease those trade wheels.

Second, dude makes just as much as AD does on a yearly basis. If I gotta trade assets for similar salary I'm going AD over Beal every f***ing time...

Wish brings us to the third point... With the 4th pick, we got an unexpected 7.1m caphold on our books. That leaves 32m in cap space for Kawhi/Ky (their true max being 32.7m)...so it's realistic they would forego 700k to join us in free agency. But trading for AD or Beal means we gotta send 21.6m out now, some we don't have cap space to partially absorb them into. So with the 4th pick @7.1m, we still need 14.5m to salary match...so if we're deadset on keeping either BI or Zo and the Pels or Wiz allow it, then nearly every youngns gotta go to make the salaries match.

I'm not sacrificing any of the max slot space for Beal....which means we sign our max slot first then trade. So who would y'all gut the team for then: AD or Beal? Btw, that's a rhetorical question cause y'all already know what it is.

I would offer this to Griffin, and it's my final offer:

4th pick, Ingram, Hart, mo Wagner, and a additional unprotected future 1st round pick for Davis. Zo and Kuz are staying.

If he doesn't bite then screw the pelicans

Go after Kawhi first the hardest. If Kawhi decides to either stay in Toronto or join the second fiddle clippers than my all mean move on. Offer Klay, Kyrie and even Jimmy. Last resort is DeMarcus, Kemba and Middleton. I'm confident we'll either get a superstar or an all Star.

We all know KD won't join LeBron he wants to be the man on the Knicks or nets.

Potential lineup that keeps 2 youngins with AD IS THE BEST OUTCOME. Best case are opt ins from the max free agents
