Really interesting comments by Shams...he thinks we have the best available package at the moment for AD.

Lowe also thinks our assets beat out the Knicks:

Reality= Ainge has had a hard on for AD for years. You think he's amassed all these assets just so he can sit and watch us trade him to NY so they can form a super team?

Any offer without Tatum/Brown we hang up the phone like we did on y'all. We hold the cards, teams low ball us, we keep him a year and see how he likes playing with Zion. I
You obviously know nothing about basketball, it's been reported that AD would resign with the Knicks and they absolutely can sign two max free agents and can trade for AD. You should research some before posting....

you living in lala land if you think ainge will do whatever it takes to get AD and not consider all the extras like ad not wanting to be in bos, his dad doesn't want him there, the team is a wreck internally and most importantly Ainge is a shark when it comes to trades

You are right. The fact you don't mention is the deal will NOT include Tatum. No chance. Everyone knows Irving is leaving. Ainge knows AD doesn't want to go to Boston. Ainge is not giving up his ONLY blue chip prospect for an AD rental. As for your other assertion that they will keep AD and not trade him...you can't say someone knows nothing about basketball if you think they would do that. You absolutely MUST trade him. You have Zion. You can't let AD walk for nothing. You need something to add next to him or you're looking at losing Zion in a few years as well. The reason you're losing AD is because you never got a second star to put next to him to give him a fighting chance.

The difference between the 3rd and 4th pick is not that big (history says it's basically a coin flip). The difference between Kuzma and Ingram when compared to what can be offered by the Knicks in addition to the pick is MASSIVE. You can make the argument that Ingram alone is better than anything they could get at the 3rd and 4th pick. Ingram's clot is not the same as Bosh's. Medically, they are completely different situations. Research Ingram's clot. It was a structural issue (that has been fixed) and not an issue where his blood isn't working properly.

nyk is the ideal destination to send ad for pelicans, its a different conference but just a matter of value, pelican fan is right in preferring ad go there but ill predict now, that nyk trade will easily have same results for pelicans as cp3 trade

It essentially boils down to pettiness. If the Pelicans decide to be petty and knowingly take an inferior package, then there really isn't anything we can do. Darius Garland is a great player and could fit nicely next to Lonzo.

Not getting the hostility toward Laker fans from Pelicans guys. Plenty of Laker fans back home in Louisiana and definitely not a rivalry.

That said, if the Pelicans trade AD elsewhere then ... okay.

Not sure what the fuss is here honestly. Last night was a huge win for us. There are several deals we can make by packaging the pick and a couple of assets.

I prefer we make several moves that build an actual team than giving up everyone for AD. A lot hangs on Kawhi still but we’ve got options.

Oh and you're the almighty basketball expert aren't you coming over to other fans forums because your team isn't exciting enough.

As if you know what the GM's are thinking based off a few "reports" from biased media outlets. But you know, you do you, whatever that is like to be a Pelicans fan. You should check yourself before posting, you have zero pull or credibility coming from a franchise who can't even keep star players. Even if you do get Zion and Barrett together, they're just gonna leave like every other player you've had. Enjoy your mediocre team that will never in it's existence touch what the Lakers have. Our "low point" so you say, is still leagues ahead of anywhere your trash bird team will ever be.

I can guarantee you this, if Tatum at a min, along with the Grizz pick and Smart aren't in an AD trade, no way we even pick up the phone when the C Bags call. My main goal as Pels gm would be to get to #2 to pair Ja with Zion.

And if y'all don't get AD now, it's not happening next year. No way Lebron wastes one of his last few years to sign crappy players to one year deals again so the Lakers have cap room to just possibly hope AD signs when he hits fa after Lebron will be what 37 ? That's asinine. Lebron got inpatient after just a couple months on your team. Y'all will sign some second tier fa's after losing out on Kawhi or Leonard. Or if they sign, no cap room for AD...

Boston doesn't have the Memphis pick, maybe you should do some research before you post.

His post was to say getting the #2 for Ja. That won't happen.

Towne, I appreciate a fan of another team showing up here and providing insights/ debating these issues. We have alot of participants here that cant get the past the "16 championships" mindset to face the reality of where we are today- aging ego driven superstar that many other stars dont want to play with, roster of young talent of flawed/ oft injured players, grade B coach, disfunctional FO. That combo wont get us anywhere near a 17th title. LBJ only got us back in the conversation, but we are one pulled hammie away from irrelevance again.

NOP has a much brighter future with a new GM and the #1 pick. You simply cant let AD walk in a year and get nothing. So, he has to be traded, and his value will never be higher than this summer. Getting the #1 pick actually makes the plan alot easier to see- trade AD and Jrue for young talent and picks (you can borrow Ryan West to help with the picks- based on NOP's draft history- he could help alot), hire a coach that can develop the talent, and see what you have in a couple of years.

For what it’s worth Windhorst just said on SportsCenter his sources say the Pelicans still don’t want to do business with us or trade AD west. He ( I disagree) says this is a 3 player draft and the Knicks have a better shot at him. We’ll see though, he also said the Pelicans don’t like the trade market for AD at all because he’s a 1 year rental and the value isn’t as high because of it.

based on Pelicans trade/draft history is like looking at the Clippers draft history lol, outside of AD, they've pretty much missed and squandered ALL of their draft picks

He's trying the build up the market for Boston. AD's trade value is at it's highest now, if they wait until the trade deadline, they'll be getting scraps because most competing teams will be set. If they think they'd rather see him walk than get anything back for him, then by all means.

Except you said the Grizz #2 to pair Ja with Zion, but okay. You don't even read what you even post.
