C Bags were always going to have to include Tatum in order to make the trade worth it for the Pelicans, without him it is terrible

without Kyrie though, what's all left? it's going to take more than Tatum to land AD, but if they get rid of a lot of young talent and draft picks, they have AD on a 1 year deal and little else.

if kyrie walks, boston's in trouble. i don't think they'd even be willing to part with what it would take to get davis in that scenario. remember, the okc's and toronto's WILL be bidding on davis with packages that probably include current allstars or top prospects who have worn out their welcome in their current organization.

brown and smart isn't going to beat that, and offering more means you just emptied the chamber for a guy whose contract ends after next year. no way they do that if it's following getting burned by kyrie.

it's why i think it would be pretty awesome for us to get kyrie. two birds.

yeah, you lose out on leonard, but that seems like a longshot anyway. bird in the hand.

    i like birds.

OK gona trade PG or Russ? There's nothing else of value they have and Siakam isn't some guy I would build around for a Davis type and they'd have to include several undesirable's like Marc, Ibaka and one of those 2 scrubs getting overpaid in Powell/Van Fleet

So about any scenario where Rozier agrees to a S&t to help the cbags get AD...if it isn't for the max amount Terry could get, I'm pretty sure he'll tell Ainge to kiss his a**.

Btw, if Ky's gone and Rozier strongrms Boston not tonnstch any offer sheets, the cbags depth at PG is "scary".

Rozier ain't helping them with s***, and I like it.

I really hope Kyrie is gone...and from his boy and LeBron's boy on IG...it seems like he is.

C Bags would be wise to try and keep Rozier as their PG of the future...

We've been saying it here...but here's the man, the myth, the legend explaining how trading for AD first isn't ideal.

The best way to use our cap space is to use up our max cap slot 1st and then trade for AD 2nd (either later this summer or at next year's trade deadline).

All that has to be done is AD really WANT to be here. This is His plan for his future 4-5 months after asking for a trade at the 2019 deadline. He and Klutch present a simply honest and united position on that and tell every other team that inquires that exact fact up front. NO can accept a reduced but still reasonable fair trade now or even further reduced offer at the deadline. Seems not hard to me. If LeBron himself and Klutch cannot convince their own stable mate to come he doesn't want to be here. Our circus turned him.

I can see us trading for him at the deadline...that way we won't have to give up all the kids.

how has this "lesser type" approach work out for us so far? Pg, Kawahi, AD initial offer....we still playing that game that LA has leverage? Lots can happen in a yr, nobody is falling for those kinds of threats anymore

Then he does what he said he would do all along in the summer. And the pieces are moved strategically in whatever way to make the 1 + 1 contract everyone says he will be smart to sign .... possible. He has to WANT to be here.

Well there is that. Pelinka should be able to figure out the money side. Not rocket science.

Cap wise we do move strategically tho.

We went from MozDeng to building a Klutch relationship (via Kcp) to having Deng agree to a substantial buyout (when Noah, Melo, Anderson, Knight, etc didn't) etching out 2 max slots with one currently occupied....all in a matter of 1 season.

And I'm grateful that the 2nd max slot wasn't occupied by George. I rather still be in play for Kawhi or AD (in 2020) with a 1+1 this summer.

When it comes to money moves...we've been strategic.

Anyways, now I'm hoping the Knicks pick nose dives to outside top3...

This scares me. NY is the one team that could swoop in and take him where he wouldn't be a rental.

More than Boston, I completely agree the Knicks are the biggest threat for AD. If they trade for his bird rights, AD can get that bag and still have a ridiculous market...and that's no bull.
