Bron loves being the set up guy...so bringing in an efficient scorer seems like the logical thing to do. Also pairing Kawhi with someone that normally shows up in the postseason (when he gets in) seems like the logical thing to do.

If Kawhi gets handled by Embiid, Simmons, Butler and Tobias while having Lowry, Gasol and Spicy P, then he's gotta think long and hard this summer with the right star pairing (see George, Russ and Aquaman).

the super max is Curry, I'm referring to that one....and you could have 2 but 1 would have to be traded in, thus the issue with Bos not being able to trade for AD this past season. They are going to give that designation to Irving but he has to sign it 1st then they can trade for AD

Alcindor, you right bro. Curry is one designated player for the dubs since he's been there from the jump. Klay and Dray have also been there from day 1, so they are both eligible for the 2nd designated spot, but there can only be one between those two to join Curry. Dubs got some choices to make and Dray hooked up with Klutch for a reason.

I'm not claiming to be a know it all, but if you do the work and research it, the answers are right there.

We need Kawhi to drop 50 and still lose to the Sixers by 20. That'll just solidify his choice to join up with another proven superstar...why not Bron?

And guess what...we can get AD too...you wanna struggle in the 2nd round or trounce opponents year in and year out with LeBron (for a couple of years) and AD (for the next 10 years)?

Thanx, yeah no way is Draymond getting anywhere near that kind of paper now. That ship has sailed for him. Also not sure nba all defensive team appearances count but I assume so. Everywhere I see under prerequisites it just says "all nba team". I doubt Klay will make all nba team this year either. Wonder if he will be disgruntled about that because he only gets 20-21 pts average with GSW with another team he'd be upper 20's and on the all nba team (or a lot more likely to be on it).

Yes we're also referring to the supermax. You have it backwards, if you trade for someone that is on a designated rookie or veteran deal then you can't already have another designated player of the same type that you also traded for on your team, you can only have 1 which is why the C Bags could not trade for AD until this summer when Kyrie's deal expires because both Kyrie and AD were given designated rookie increased % extensions by their respective tea,ms at the time. Kyrie's designated rookie player stats carried over from Cleveland to the C Bags.

Kyrie will not qualify for the supermax/designated veteran player deal this summer because Boston is not the team that drafted him nor was he traded to them during his original rookie contract. C Bags can give him a 5 year rather than 4 year though as they have his bird rights.

If they were both drafted by that team and make the other requirements (all-star, nba all team, def player of the year, mvp, etc) then yes. Very rare though and very hard to afford 2 guys making anywhere from 65-110mil total a year.

It's so rare that GSW may not even be able to do it. Green may qualify but he just hasn't got the numbers to justify it and Klay hasn't made nba all-team the past few years (this season remains to be determined later this month but I don't know if GSW would give him it if on the off-chance he makes it).

The Lakers should show Clippers players being boo'ed at the stadium in their mediocre presentation

@Cookie where you gonna be June 30th...say 9pm?

Mind baking up a batch of that good good for someone? That someone's got a thing for late night cookies.

@Alcindor yeah it's making all-nba 1st, 2nd or 3rd teams, winning DPoY or MVP for that season or in the previous 2 seasons. You cant be designated making the all defensive team. So if Klay makes an All-nba team this year, he's eligible for the supermax...if the dubs pass up designating Klay this summer, then Dray is eligible for it the following summer if he wins DPoY or an All-nba honor.

I’d love to be baking up some doom for Toronto if Kawhi comes to the Lakers this summer.

Raptors fans are one of the best out there. I hope that if Kawhi doesn't sign with us, he stays there.
