Yeah how many 3s has Muscala even made since joining the team? I haven’t been watching much lately, but in the games I have watched I haven’t seen a single 3 of his come close.
No. I initially tried to talk myself into it as a form of denial (we had to dump Beasley, we weren’t going to re-sign Zu anyway), but within one game of him playing I realized how bad it was. Beasley could have been waived, the Clippers did it immediately. We didn’t even get a 2nd round pick out of the deal, which would have at least made it look somewhat OK. Then when Zu said how much better it was playing for the Clippers than the Lakers, that was when the reality of it stung even more, just terrible trade. Not even so much for what/who it involved, and more for what it symbolized and what it showed in a pattern of us getting lesser than back in trades or giving up too much in trades since Magic was hired.
There have been secret negotiations with the league to adjust the quota and lower the requirements, but so far it hasn’t worked. If it was racism, we wouldn’t have gotten Muscala back.
Zubac is just what the Clippers needed. A big who can run the floor, board, play D. Maybe we see skyhook development (ala Kareem)?
He’s a fine young talent, and I don’t think there’s a single Laker fan who felt that was a good deal at all.
No that's complete BS.Clippers were ahead of Lakers all season. But their last 10 games 9-1,and Lakers last 10 games 1-9.
Just waiting for Svi next year to break out with the consistency shooting and other things he does better than Bollocks who we probably won't even have any more. Don't even want to think about the other kids we're planning on losing. FMLakerL!
