I’d like for us to think outside the box a bit for our next coach but that likely won’t happen.

Again, we should have among the best on all levels right now and we just don't. We've been complaining about the same stuff from Luke for several years straight. There are multiple unforgivable losses this year like last night. I'll get killed for saying this, but I honestly think even a guy like Mark Jackson would have figured out how to get us wins when we needed them against powerhouses like the Hawks and Pelicans.

I tried, but he's just been one step forward and then ten or so steps back all season. I've seen enough. Time for the next guy.

Jackson is not much better - Magic wants Pat Riley-esque per the reports.

    Guess we will see...

I mean he could tell the team to at least look in Reggie Bullock’s direction once in a while... We have one shooter and we aren’t even having him run off screens to get open shots, yet we are having KCP and Kuz do that, hell even Rondo gets that more. That’s bad coaching right there in one small area that matters, add that to awful lineups that include Rondo, Lance, and Chandler all at the same time, he’s just not very bright with common sense things like putting guys in position to succeed.

This is not the f***ing 80’s, so I really hope that isn’t true. That type of coach doesn’t win anymore, you have to be smart AND be able to deal with millennials and Gen Z babies that these players are now, you can’t be Bobby Knight.

My only hope is that Pelinka understands that... I have no hope that Magic does. He seems clueless in almost every other aspect.

We must go after a prolific coach. I don't care who we sign but he has to be a top 5 coach in the NBA.

If not, double someone's salary who is under contract and buy him out. I really don't care who and what, if this is another laid egg for a few years, my patience might boil over.

I don't trust the FO to possess enough basketball competence to get this done right.

Pelinka is a 100% PR spin, who is busy telling stories in order to sell ice to Eskimos. Magic is an outdated overconfident basketball player surpassed by the time.

I’m not a Jackson fan. And the thought of chasing a Riley type is scary as we are still clearly living in the distant past. I’m hoping he means as a motivator and leader.

Bottom line for me though is that it’s time to move on. We need improvements every where starting on the sidelines.

Those relics got us Lebron tho, so I bet they get another 1-2 years to show what they can do

I don't think they "got us" LeBron.

LeBron wanted to be a Laker. That is without question as he was renovating his house a year ago.

I'm sure he probably didn't want to be a Laker with Jim Buss, so there is a case that he had more confidence in Magic and wanted to be a Laker because of him. But when a star wants to come its easy...if a star doesn't want to come (see Paul George), even Magic can't get a meeting. So there is that.

Pelinka and Magic aren’t going anywhere. We can really just hope they are starting to see their own weaknesses and will bring in some reinforcements.

I'm fine with Magic and Rob; give them a chance.

Luke? Fire him. Done. Been done.

I see you're one of the proponents of not really blaming Luke thus far (I can accept that) and blame the roster construction....but let me ask if Luke was given the LAC or SAC roster, do you think he could've produce those same records as their current HC has done for their respective team?

No idea. I believe injuries, trade rumors and s***ty/lack of shooters screwed us more than Luke. He' faaaar from perfect but after Mike, Mike and b0ron i fear we'll sign someone like Kidd and regress even more.
